I wanted to find a cookbook for my Spanish-speaking wife that contained more than just "Mexican" or "Tex-Mex" recipes in Spanish - there were plenty of those, but she already knew the basics and had already cooked many dishes such as these. What I wanted for her was to expand her culinary horizons, learning to cook dishes she had never had the chance to cook living in Monterrey, Mexico. This book provided the solution. It presents some very good menu ideas and the individual recipes are very interesting and varied, which is what I wanted for my wife. She can now learn to cook dishes of different types and at the same time learn that there is more to cooking than jsut sopas, fidellos, tortillas, carne con papas, etc. This book is really packed with recipes for its small size and even provides a small glossary in the front for possible terms that might not be understood, since the recipes come from a variety of sources. The only thing I can complain about is that the measurements are in litros, mL, etc., so I will have to convert the measurements for my wife since our utensils are in cups, tablespoons, etc. Otherwise, an excellent choice for those who need ideas and want the opportunity to cook a variety of interesting dishes they might not have had the chance to cook.

No hay nada mejor que tener un libro con el cual simplifiques tu vida y tu trabajo diario...no hay nada peor que llegar a casa, despues de un dia largo, corriendo por todo el supermercado, con dos pequenos ninos y tener un sinfin de preguntas, interminables..entre ellas... que cocino hoy??Lo mas importante es que la comida este tan rica y sea muy facil de preparar..que puedas convencer no solo a tus dos dificiles ninos, sino tambien al exigente de tu marido.Este libro, te ayuda a preparar riquisimas recetas, en poco tiempo y a convencer a esos dificiles pero hambrientos personajes a comer, sano, rico y rapido!!!

¡FANTÀSTICO ! Cuando me casè y mamà me regalô "que hago hoy de comer?" lo vi con cierto desprecio: Estaba tan enamorada que ¿como no me iba a inspirar de què hacerle de comer a mi esposo? Pues ¡sorpresa! porque para la octava semana mi mente estaba en blanco... hasta que me acordè del regalo de mami. Me ahorrò trabajo a lo loco,porque trae hasta la lista del super;Y tiene muchas, muchas recetas como para que pasen años antes que repita uno un platillo...
