S.T. Martin is a graduate of both Princeton and Yale Universities, a former executive consultant and business leader, a member of the Catholic Writer's Guild, and the author of six self-published books on Catholic spirituality.
The first two books, "Journey to Christendom - The Freedom Dance" and "Seek First the Kingdom - The March of Hope," describe his conversion to and spiritual journey through the Catholic Church with the Virgin Mary, St. Joan of Arc, and St. Thérèse of Lisieux. The third book "Testament for Love - The Pilgrim Dance," lays out the vision of the Kingdom, or principle end, toward which that journey is leading. He calls the path he journeys with Sts. Joan and Thérèse to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Trail of the Dogmatic Creed.
His fourth book "Little Flowers and Fiery Towers" tells this story of his journey on the trail of the Dogmatic Creed with St. Thérèse and St. Joan using poetry and poetic prose.
To help himself and others develop a more prayerful relationship with St. Joan and St. Thérèse, he added a fifth book, "The Dove and Rose" which is a series of reflections and prayers in honor of these saints along with the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ in His Catholic Church. Together with "Little Flowers" and "Testament for Love," you will find a complete source of inspiration for your devotion to The Dove (St. Joan) and The Rose (St. Thérèse)!
Mr. Martin eventually compiled all five of the books mentioned above into one volume, "Fleur-Darc," and published it under his real name, Walter Adams (for an explanation of his pen name, S.T. Martin, please see: "What's in a name? http://joanandtherese.net/2011/10/26/whats-in-a-name-the-birth-of-s-t-martin-st-joan-and-st-therese/).
Finally, his most recent publication, The Catholic and Royal Army of America, is a short treatise on the necessity of a Counter-Revolution to defend that beloved Kingdom toward which The Dove and Rose Knight is heading with Sts. Joan and Thérèse and that is the final principle end of the Catholic Church's journey through time and space.
He is married and the father of one child. Though raised a Methodist in the Bible Belt and surrounded with evangelicalism as a youth, Mr. Martin converted to the Catholic Church prior to his marriage in 1985.
Touched deeply by the life of St. Thérèse of Lisieux and imbued with a filial love for Mary, he set out on a life-long spiritual journey to "seek first" Christ's Kingdom with Thérèse as his guide.
Eventually led to confront his inner most being on that lonely, mystical hill of Calvary, he discovered through Mary's maternal guidance and Thérèse's sisterly care that Jesus had called another mighty saint to walk with him and to protect him through that dark and awful night of self-confrontation that leads us in Christ to true freedom.
That saint, a spiritual sister to Thérèse, was Joan of Arc.
The goal of all of S.T. Martin's work is straightforward: that others might find something that will inspire them to seek out the joyful friendship of these two sisters we have in Christ and to journey with them on the Trail of the Dogmatic Creed toward the magnificent Kingdom.
"To Jesus through Mary in the friendship and sisterly care of Sts. Joan and Thérèse! Amen, so be it."
