5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic show, January 8, 2012
This review is from: 24 Season 3 (Amazon Instant Video)
This is one of the best shows on television in recent history. The structure of the story telling is completely original and executed very well. Kudos to the writers and directors for accurately portraying the real time events and how they coincide with one another. They stories are suspenseful and almost always have many twists that you would never see coming. This show doesn't shy away from edgy subject matter like torture and the moral dilemmas that must be addressed in today's sick world. They do this with class and adds to already great stories that make you think along with the characters.

Don't listen to the conspiracy theorist in the other review. He clearly hates America just as much as Saunders ;) and has no foot in reality about the writing of television shows.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unrealistic Fascist Police State Propaganda, December 20, 2011
This review is from: 24 Season 3 (Amazon Instant Video)
The content of this series is extremely contrived to create mass fear for political gains in real life for tyrannical government. People are influence by visual stimuli such as TV.

I have watched the first three seasons within the last few months, so watching episodes in concentration, it's pretty obvious how this TV series is so overly unrealistic. So many of the events are overly contrived and totally worst-case scenario fear-monger. One example is when how they have FAMILY working together and how it keeps HURTING the CTU operations. I don't think you have husbands and wives, fathers and daughters working in such conditions. If I watch ONE episode again, I could show how STUPIDLY unrealistic the plots are and how that stupidity directly cause fear in the viewing audience. Here's another example, that MI6 Saunders character: if he was going to commit an act of terrorism, he would NOT leave his daughter so exposed to capture by CTU or others. He would safeguard her out of the reach of anyone. PLUS, she is IN THE CITY he releases a BIO-WEAPON in!! And he gets captured by trying to trade his daughter for another hostage. Very illogical. Why?? And that stupid spiking metallic that's right before where commericials would come in. That sound is designed to make irritate you/stress you out. When you can see things plainly as they are in the context of current BS propaganda/politics, then all things are clear. Look at how the plot gets twisted to seemingly get worse and worse with the message that you must give government absolute power to protect you since the world is SO messed up and so many criminals, terrorists which is NOT true. Just look at who is behind Al-Qaeda, Sibel Edmonds, and FBI translator stated that that group worked for the CIA up until the day before 9-11-2001 and she was under a gag order NOT to say anything further (that they worked for the CIA to DO 9-11): [...] and do a little more research, she was actually in front of a congressional panel. She is for REAL. Also look at some of the manipulation we went into Iraq in 1991, there was a FAKE Story about Iraqi throwing babies from incubators in a hospital. Who was this (FAKE) witness??? None other than the daughter of a Kuwaiti Ambassador. [...] Furthermore, look up some stories about the "Airlift of Evil" [...] AND [...] (US ACQUIESCED to allow them to escape!!!) and how Soldier PAT TILLMAN was killed for learning about this airlift and writing and wanting to join with Noam Chomsky to be an anti-war leader, but of course he was ASSASSINATED because as the former MASCOT of the war on tERROR, he wanted to tell the American people that it was ALL A LIE. Of course now you have US soldiers guarding OPIUM poppy-fields in Afghanistan so the US Govt is joining the DRUG CARTEL operations there [...] . No, you won't find many people talking about this kind of stuff much on Amazon or other sites but I have just given you the memo. Do more research and you will see that all the propaganda in the TV shows are such BS, full of stupid plots, lies, but they are just MORE lies to cover for the REAL-LIFE lies. "One hand washes the other." Now you know why movie stars and athletes make more than most doctors. Why? Because they are the Distractor/Deceiver-Profession (they do say actors are the best politicians and politicians are the best actors!! And Americas SURE love to be distracted and LIED to.

REPLY to latest post by KEVIN REILLY: National Defense Authorization Act - Americans can be disappeared by the Govt without charge or trial. This is Hitlerian. This was signed by the Obaminator on DEC 31st 2011 whilst all the lemmings were getting drunk and stupid. Wake up, the party is over. It's going to get worse and "TV Shows" like 24 are propaganda to promote Goverment (and Agents like Jack Bauer to) Gone Wild. And Kevin, I laugh at your ad-hominems and slanders about my character. You have just shown yourself to lack the intellect and character and rather than rationalize-you resort to ad-hominems. Just look at the facts of what is happening to this nation. Wait, you are already clueless about what is happening so your opinions are worthless. Afraid of Jack Bauer? Please, I laugh at wimps like him. While you worship all his FAKE skills and abilities. And BTW sillies, if you are looking for a reply to your lame responses to me, just keep reading this post since I am able to EDIT REVIEW at the moment. But, hey I am censored already on Amazon and cannot make NEW posts.
