This review is from: 10,000 Light Years (Audio CD)
After years of silience, ZG has brought back the noise! 10,000 light years proves to be worth the wait. Once again, the production duties are handled by the equally (if not more so) legendary Steve Albini. This is 12 tracks of blistering terror from vocalist/guitarist/sonic destroyer K.K. Null and company. Long-time fans will notice the missing mighty percussion of Eito, now replaced by the talents of Masataka Fujikake. Ultimately, this personel change is of little consequence towards the larger picture that is the world of Null/Zeni Geva. Standout tracks include the title cut and the masterful Interzona 2. The four bonus cuts are a welcome treat, but the frugal shopper may fare better to buy the regular edition. Your ears will never be the same.
