I bought this book from a bookstore. At first, I thought it was going to be cheesy and easy to pass, but the more I read, the more I fell in love with it and I am a guy!

There are phrases that will melt any romantic heart, like: "The one thing guaranteed to make you lose your temper is someone treating me unkindly." "When I am sick, you spoil me rotten",
"You hardly ever cry, but when you do, I can't stop the tears coming to my eyes as well". One of my favorites and I can't find the exact quote now but it was: you rub my back with sunscreen even though you know I don't need it.

"You have extremely ticklish ribs"

It's amazing how much depth, emotion and mush Rebecca Hall can pack into a mere line and a half.

WHen I read those words, it warms my heart, there are hundreds of them. It gives you ideas of how to love someone purely and selflessly.

It's full of little surprises and thoughts and insights about different situations from arguing to parties and everything in between.

"1,000 Reasons I Love You" is a unique book that is filled with quotes by famous people and personal thoughts by Rebecca Hall. In this book she captures new love and also emphasizes the comforts of love long after the first kiss. The book is divided into short chapters:

Love: Past and Present
Appearance
You - Young and Old
Everything You Do for Me
Laughter and Tears
Life, Love and Friends
Tastes and Talents
Love: Now and Tomorrow

Rebecca Hall writes with genuine affection for her lover although she doesn't tell all their secrets. Instead she focuses on daily pleasures and ideal moments. She must have spent years collecting all these thoughts. Here are a few:

"Arguing's not all bad. A discordant note can make the return of harmony sweeter."

"I could never tire of looking at you."

"Your intelligence is as sharp as a laser beam."

"You've got a naught streak in you."

"I have to be strict with myself about the amount of time I spend day dreaming about you."

This book would make an excellent gift but it would probably be better to read this yourself to get ideas for writing your own thoughts on the person you love.
