This is an amazing value. You get video capturing and editing software, a low-resolution (but perfectly functional) camera and video conferencing in a single package.The camera that's bundled is the Logitech QuickCam Express, which has an USB interface and requires at least Windows 98 or above. The Communicate 2000i software that comes with this bundle requires at least Windows 98, and has fax, video conferencing, email and paging features. It's ideal for laptop users who travel a lot because it works on dialup lines as well as DSL and LANs. If used on a desktop system it also allows you to securely access that system from the field (assuming that it's not behind a firewall). If you bought this for the software alone it would represent a good value. With the included video camera this product is an outstanding bargain. |
