Book Description

Site Modeling for Architects and Landscapers
Site Modeling may look complicated, but it can be made easier if you understand what a Site Model can do, and how it works. Hence your expectations match its capabilities. You can create a Site Model using a few different methods and once created, you can edit the Site Model using several different tools and techniques.

This manual will help you to understand how Site Models are created, how you can edit them, and what the Site Model is unable to do.

A Site Model is a way of looking at 3D data (spot levels or contours) in a way that allows you to see complex 3D models and 2D representations. Vectorworks uses the 3D information to create the models based on the data to help you understand the 2D and 3D nature of your site.

More About the Author

By training, I'm an architect. I've worked in New Zealand and England, working on a huge range of projects. While I was in the UK, i learned how to use a computer drawing program and I also learned how to teach it. I have been writing training manuals for this computer program called Vectorworks for several years now, and it turns out that I am very good at it. In 2010 I wrote two manuals for a new program called TABULUS 2010, using the same style and techniques I used for the Vectorworks manuals. Now I realize that I can transport my technical writing skills to almost any technical project.
