Ibiza RideIn the year 1998 Anton Kraft had the idea of creating watches different from anything else ever seen: LED Displays and a new time reading system that will revolutionize the watch market. Despite the non-existence of technical resources or opportunities at the time, he registered for a legal protection of his ideas.

In 2004 Anton Kraft teamed up with the owners of a production facility who brought the technical knowledge required for this journey. Because of the initial time reading system being based on the IT code for all computers - the binary code - with the numbers 0 and 1, the brand name 01 THE ONE was born. In 2005 Time Technology Ltd. was founded and now operates the brand 01 THE ONE.

01 THE ONE is considered the leading name in design & fashion orientated watches, The brand has been a pioneer of innovation and style since the very beginning and now present in 20 countries world-wide.

Instead of following the trends on the watch market, 01 THE ONE’s objective is to create something unique and different.

Anton Kraft's idea was to create a watch line perfect for independent people who follow their own unique path in life and trend-setters who express their individuality by the way they dress. From the very beginning, Anton Kraft ignored style-dictators and consumer forecasts of the fashion or watch establishment.

The 01 THE ONE staff reflects this freedom: a cosmopolitan team that creates a family-like working atmosphere.  01 THE ONE 'people' and their working methods are unconventional, but productive – driven by the idea of creating an evolution.

And this is just the beginning...
Join the 01 THE ONE's evolution.

I got this watch for my boyfriend for our anniversary and let me tell you, HE LOVED IT!! There were different styles, but this one fit him the best because of the sleekness of the watch, it fits the young-adults crowd.

Now, for the functionality. It's got little numbers at the bottom, so it's great because it's like an accomplishment whenever he tells time! The only thing with the interface is that we wish that there was a feature of having the date as well, which I'm sure wouldn't be that difficult to add in. Another kink was that the side dial gets stuck sometimes, so it's basically, not very sturdy. It's not a huge problem because it's easily fixable, but it's a little troublesome.

We haven't put the waterproof capability to the test, but with the leather-band, he will probably be hesitant going to the pool with it.

As binary watches are a favourite of mine, I bought this watch for my young nephew - and was a bit worried that it might make him feel bad if he couldn't figure out how to tell time after a few tries. Just to check, I ran this worry past his mom. She replied, 'just send it; he'll figure it out.' Well, not only did he figure it out in a few seconds, he does not want to take it off, 'ever'. Who knew you could please a teenager?! With words like WOW!! and 'star of the show' etc, I am so glad I followed his mother's advice. Made me think of Groucho Marx's sentiment, slightly altered: "Any five year old could figure out how to use a computer (binary watch)." "Well then: bring me a five year old!'

If this is a prez for someone with a mathematical curiosity - at any age (and gender), you cannot go wrong with this one!!

My husband received a binary clock about a year ago as a going away present. He liked it so much he said he wanted a binary watch. I eyed this one up for a year and at income tax time when we had the money, purchased this one for him. HE LOVES IT! Not only is is functional, but its also fashionable. Plus, it forces you to use your brain a little more to tell the time...I recommend this watch to anyone who is a bit eccentric like us...

This is a very well built, comfortable, and fashionable--if maybe a tad ostentatiousness--watch that lends some serious credibility as a nerd. I highly recommend this watch to anyone enrolled in a computer logic design course that needs people to think that they will make a great lab partner. After a few days the interface gets pretty easy to read (you even start to remember what certain numbers look like in base two, and don't have to work to convert it to base 10); although, there are 10 types of people in the world, and if you're the kind of person that doesn't understand binary, this watch is not for you.

Don't be fooled by Amazon's terrible picture of this watch, the metal surrounding the glass bezel and attaching the watch to the band is in fact black (it looks grayish in the picture).
