First off the picture is all wrong. The tools are just like the ones in the "Mr. Bar-B-Q 5-Piece Oval Stainless Handle Tool Set" except you also get the plastic case, scraper, 8 corn holders, and 4 knives, not the wooden ones shown in the picture. It comes with the XXXL spatula and tongs. I mean these thing are HUGE in every sense of the word. Its a nice set for the price. I would have like a smaller spatula and tongs like the ones shown, they are almost too big but I am sure this will last a long time, the tools look quite durable. Good buy, but just be aware what you are actually buying.

The item pictured is no longer available from the manufacturer. If you order this item what you will receive is a solid stainless set also by Mr. Bar B Q. The set will have no wooden handles or rubber gripes. After checking with several retailers I found THAT THE SET YOU WILL ACTUALLY RECEIVE IS BETTER QUALITY THAN WHAT IS PICTURED. I kept the set and gave to my Son for Christmas. He was very pleased. The reason for the low rating was because the wrong item is displayed.

If you are considering this item, either for yourself or as a gift, save yourself the disappointment and move on. Firstly, the item provided is NOT the item pictured. This is a stainless steel set with black plastic grips. However, I expected the same quality between the wood and stainless steel sets. I ordered three of these BBQ accessory kits to gift this Christmas. Everything I state below was common to all three sets:

The storage box is a mess. It is made of molded plastic that warped either during manufacturing or shipping. The accessories wouldn't fit into their slots, and extra plastic (called flash) was everywhere. Very unattractive!

The black plastic grips are just as bad, with sloppy molding and flash on every single accessory (even the corn holders)! The tools are made of heavy stamped stainless steel, guaranteed to hold up where thinner steel tools would bend. You could lift a four pound steak or whole chicken with the spatula. However, stamped steel is also used to form the shaft and it isn't aligned properly. Nearly every tool has a very awkward bend that won't be easily fixed because of the steel's thickness.

Corn holders are garbage and will bend with very little pressure. Toss them.

A lot of bristles from the grill brush fell out during first use.

Very, very disappointed in this product. I need to buy three additional BBQ accessory kits because I wouldn't give these to anyone!

Being a mother of two small children I usually buy things based on the good chance of them being destroyed in the long run. With that said, after reading reviews I figured that the case couldn't be that bad because my standards are not high. After receiving the package I was appalled by the low quality of the case. I can't tell if this is made of extremely cheap plastic or high quality cardboard. If you are buying for a good case DO NOT buy this product but if you are more about what is inside the case the actual tools are fantastic. The spatula is huge but not a problem for me. Also, the tools were all out of there pockets due to shipping but no damage was done and I was able to pop them back into their rightful places.

This item was ordered as a Christmas gift for my father. It arrived as if it had been dropped and run over by a truck, and then gift wrapped by Amazon. The damage was not noticeable until the wrapping was removed. An absolute shame. My father is very old school and even after much pleading, he is too proud to return the item. Not to mention, "That's what you get for shopping on the computer!" The box was smashed and most of the tools inside were bent or broken. I cannot comprehend how this could have passed any inspection. It was embarrassing to have gifted such a disaster.

I wish that the picture shown was the actual kit sold but other than that the tools themselves are great. The case is garbage and barely holds the tools in place. Don't let the case be the deciding factor because its very cheap.

Tools are solid and strong and a great addition to any set.

i bought this set as a gift for my son who loves to bbq. it's a complete set and made so well. i recommend it for anyone of any age. nice to have the case too and keep the whole set together.

The tools in this box were in great quality and the assortment of tools is perfect. The only negative is the box which was not in very good condition, small cracks in some areas. For the price, I would recommend as a buy.

I ordered this set as Christmas present for my Dad. He loved it, but I had a few choice problems with it. Firstly, the case:

the Hardcase that it comes in is flimsy and made of some very cheap Rubber/Plastic- and I found that the very poorly designed clasps that secure the case shut were either damaged in shipping or were so poorly secured that they pop right off. They're simply two little plastic sliders and are extremly easy to fall off. Also, because of bending and warping of the plastic near the clasps, the sliders on my case don't line up properly and make it very difficult to open and close.

Secondly, upon opening the case I found that a lot of the tools had become dislodged when it was being shipped. They must have been clattering around for a while becuase some of the surfaces were knicked and scratched.

All in all the quality of the tools seems fine, but they certainly don't feel like stainless steel to me. If you're thinking about getting this as a gift for the BBQer in your family, I would honestly suggest spending a little more money and getting a better quality set of tools. However if you're looking for a cheap set to take on a camping trip or two, I'd consider getting these. They'll get the job done, but they certainly won't last you a lifetime.

Definitely worth the money for all you get, the knifes are so sharp!! :D good buy and will get used plenty.
