Features an antimicrobial agent! Honeycomb filtration to trap mineral pollutants found in water and help prevent them from entering your home. For optimum performance, replace filter at the beginning of each season or every 2 months depending on use.

I tried the 'generic' filter last year, thinking it would be the same and I would save money, but found they were just not as good as the Hamiiton Beach. They started out all right, but dried up very soon and need to be replaced more quickly.

The filters that came are about 2" taller than the original #05920. Not wanting to go thru the hassle I managed to squeeze the filter in place and it is working satsfactorily.

Seems to work just fine. I was worried because it didn't have the metal outer shell like my other filters, but seems to work just as well.
