I received the microwave shipped in the factory box, there was no outer box as some items may be delivered but that's OK because I think the factory box did it's job. It looked as if it was thrown down long stairs and was gored by a bull so I thought it would surely be broken. I was surprised it worked but it does and there was no cosmetic damage either. Re-heats food quickly and does popcorn quite well. This model replaced an almost identical seven year old Sharp 800 watt that still worked well but was always underpowered, it rode in my tractor trailer for five years being shook around all day in the sleeper. Gave it away and got this powerhouse. The clock display is bright in the dark so you won't need a nightlight in the kitchen. If this thing stops working I'm coming here straight away to let you know. *NOTE* This review process is great and I appreciate all the reviews I have read on other products from you all. I really hate having spent hard earned money on a junk product and this process is the equalizer to keep 'em on their toes. If I get burnt you're gonna know about it, I'm pretty hateful.
***UPDATE 11NOV12 Still working just fine folks.

I purchased this microwave to replace a 4 year old that got a whole burnt in the door from a
microwave popcorn maker. The sensor cooking does not work very well. On the potato setting
especially, it makes them hard. Cooks too long. also the turn table makes a loud rubbing sound if food is not put exactly in the center. I have had to unplug the unit to reset the reheat.
had to get info from factory. Sure not made as good as previous model I bought this because my
previous was a Sharp. I expected the same quality.

After 5 months, this oven started tripping its dedicated 15A circuit breaker. The popcorn setting always ERRed, but we don't usually use that. When it is not tripping the circuit breaker, it works very well. Nearest repair center is 1:45 away from us!

On several occasions, the clock has stopped running on a timed event. The microwave will keep going, though. You have to watch what you are cooking very carefully because you never know when this is going to happen. In addition, periodically, the clock will not show the correct time. I will re-set it only to see the wrong time again fairly soon. In addition, the sensor settings on frozen dinners does not work well. Often some part of the dinner will be cool after the sensor thinks the dinner has been cooked. I have gone to simply cooking frozen dinners with the instructions on the box. Even that is complicated, though, because the unit cooks very hot. So, you have to learn how much to shorten each cooking time to prevent over-cooking or burning. I had a previous Sharp microwave that worked very well for fourteen years. Clearly, Sharp microwaves have gotten MUCH WORSE.
