Freud Router Bits are known for their exceptional quality, unmatched precision and maximum cutting life. The bits are carefully crafted using the ideal materials, the industry's most sophisticated manufacturing processes, and include exclusive Freud features such as TiCo Hi-Density Carbide and red Perma-SHIELD non-stick coating. Freud's bits also contain revolutionary, innovative designs such as Quadra-Cut and Double-Grind.
Freud's revolutionary patented design for flawless finish with no rework. This 4 cutter design includes two large cutters that shear upward and two smaller cutters that shear downward to produce a splinter-free finish.
TiCo Hi-Density carbide is a specially formulated, highly compact Titanium Cobalt Carbide engineered and manufactured by Freud to maximize performance on all Freud cutting tools. Designed in Freud research and development laboratories, Freud's TiCo Hi-Density carbide is scientifically developed using Titanium Carbide, Cobalt and Tungsten (as well as proprietary elements), to produce a supreme product. Carbide size is extremely important when it comes to sharpness as well as the rate at which an edge wears. The larger the carbide grain, the faster an edge will wear. While standard carbides measure as large as 5 microns, and an advanced micrograin carbide can measure 1 micron, Freud's TiCo Hi-Density Carbide is miniscule in comparison at .8 microns, with a laminate blend as small as .4 microns.

A very well made router bit! I have used this bit on oak and birch with very good results. I will buy more Frued router bits in the future.Published 6 months ago by Kyle
Bought three of them: two worked fine but on one of them the screw came undone, the wheel fell off, and one of these parts chipped one of the blades as it came undone.Published 7 months ago by EastmanArt
