5.0 out of 5 stars Concrete ways to achieve success in the classroom through the use of technology, July 5, 2007
This review is from: 1-to-1 Learning: Laptop Programs That Work (Paperback)
Educators talk about their desire to implement 1-to-1 laptop programs in the classroom but oftentimes they hold back, citing cost and the lack of objective measures of success. Other schools spend the money but don't have a solid rationale. Either approach results in failure, as a May article in the New York Times about the dismantling of such programs demonstrated. I imagine the results would have been different if the heads of technology at those schools had read Pamela Livingston's book. Finally there's a reader-friendly manual for programs that more than justify their cost. It's made a world of difference at my school and two other schools nearby.
