About the Author
Freddie Levin has been dividing her time between freelance illustration assignments and teaching art since 1968. She teaches art in a Chicago public school to students in kindergarten through eighth grade.

My nine year old daughter desperately wanted to learn to draw so I bought her this book (and others by the same author) for Christmas. She is thoroughly enjoying them. The books are simple enough for her to follow and the results have made her very happy! Anyone looking to buy a book for their kid to teach them to draw should consider these.

My daughter, she's 8, has always loved to draw and she loves horses. I thought she'd enjoy this, but I had no idea it would turn out to be as wonderful as it has.
Almost immediately she was able to closely follow the end result of these drawings. The step-by-step directions are very well presented and easy to follow. It's a special thing for a parent to see the look of extreme pride on their childs face when they've done something well. Thank you so much! LCauley
