If you only have time to read one book about managing student behavior, make it this one. This is the book I keep referring back to. Not only are the methods simple and effective, it reminds why I am a teacher and what I hope to accomplish by teaching. It helps me manage students and at the same time, reminds me of how to be a real teacher.

I teach Kindergarten and have 5 very difficult boys. I read the book Monday and started Tuesday. By Thursday I was amazed.

This book was fabulous. It clearly sets up a classroom management plan and it goes through step by step how to set it up in the classroom. Even if you decide not use their counting system, one can still benefit from the practice in identifying, setting, and following through on limits.

This is a great book! My entire team purchased a copy. It was easy to read and understand, and it makes so much sense! We're all looking forward to using the techniques. We know other teachers that say this really works.

1-2-3 Magic was recommended to us to use with our own child and it worked very well for us. I decided to try the classroom version toward the end of this school year and found that it is was effective for most of my students. I think it would have worked great if I had started it at the beginning of the year. This program makes it easy to stay calm and consistent with the children. I found that it stopped the arguing and testing that kids like to try. I bought 4 copies to share with other teachers who were feeling frustrated with their students. I will start off the school year with it in the fall.

This is an excellent book and it's highly effective. However, all children function differently and respond differently to different types of discipline. This doesn't work on all kids, but no type of discipline does. As a teacher you have to see what works for your students.

This book is an easy read (I read it within a few days). The discipline system is VERY effective with my group of Kindergartners and is so simple for me to keep track of (I just record their marks on a class list). Although, I am recording less and less lately!

Book came in excellent condition and arrived in a speedy manner. I bought the book to help my son with his student teaching. He looks forward to using it next semester. We'll see if his classroom kids are behaving themselves better after he implements the ideas. My daughter uses the book for parents with her 5 year old. He seems to be responding quicker when he hears the "That's one."

I love it and I refresh my self with the book at the beginning of each year since I started using 123 magic. It's very easy to incorporate the system and modify it to fit your own behavior management. Of course, it doesn't work with every student, but the book addresses that. Your frequent and excessive behavior problems still need more intense reinforcements and behavior strategies in place. I don't believe every single word in the book, but I have my own brain and can figure out what works in my classroom with my students. After adapting 123 magic to fit my teaching style, I found it very effective and certainly worth it. It helps avoid those little unnecessary arrangements with students who are normally pretty well behaved, but have those moments. That helps you get back to teaching. If you try this system, don't give up right away. Keep it up for a week or two and see what happens. Of course, I often find that the first week or two of school, the kids aren't really comfortable to really test you yet, so if you try it in the very beginning of the year, you might want to keep it up a little longer before making your decision.

I purchased the product for the nurse manager at work who was looking for a quick fix on one of our units. The system is simple and easy to implement. This one offers some excellent insights for parents learning to manage a challenging child. One catch: you have to be consistent! If you decide to buy in, you must commit to it.
