What concerns Atheists? Why do these things concern them? Well, it depends on which Atheist you ask. I am just one Atheist. This is my perspective.

This review is from: 1 Atheist: 1 Voice (Paperback)
This book is well-written, clear, and for someone who reads in this area, pretty elementary. It makes some very good points, such as pointing out that religion is not the problem so much as the arrogance that often accompanies it. (Pat Robertson regularly speaks for God, for example.) Ms. Hoaks also relates how her sincere questions about Christianity got answered by people quoting Bible verses. I find that more than amazing. She says "Religions are a breeding ground for hate." That's because they create separateness where none need exist. She points out some of the many contradictions and ridiculous statements in the Bible. Overall, I didn't learn much (but I follow this field closely), but it's a nice, warm book, which I recommend to anyone who thinks about religion but isn't sure about it.

If you receive this book as a gift, throw it away. Her argument that religion is a breeding ground for hate is ludicrous. The only hate religion out there is Isam. Budism and Hinduism make no sense unless your on drugs. Jehovah witnesses, and Mormons are self righteous heresy. Christianity is the ONLY true religion that is backed with scientific facts, archealogical facts, historical documentation (besides the Bible) and has NEVER been proven wrong by any of the aformentioned. The author claims to have been a Christian. Wrong. She is a textbook false convert that thought Christianity would make her life "better." This is not Biblical. The Bible promises Christians 3 things in this life, temptation, tribulation, and persecution. If you want to know real hard facts. Read "How to Know God Exists" by Ray Comfort. Don't bother with this self-published drivel by Trina Hoax.
