I did successfully download the MP3 - so that's GOOD. But AFAIK, the FAQ is wrong: You do have to use the Amazon MP3 Downloader because there is no "Skip installation and continue" button during purchase.Also, there does not appear to be a way to apply a gift certificate balance to buy the MP3 songs - I had to use a credit card. The MP3 used 256Kbps and was 9,223,445 bytes. They also include a bunch of art work (I guess that's a side effect of using the downloader). ID3v1 and ID3v2 are filled in. And it plays/sounds fine with my 2.7 version of WinAmp. I'd have given it 5 stars if it was lossless compression or perhaps 320VBR. |
