It is only for the serious. Especially if you're wearing some longterm tonage and have some real issues with food. Why? Because this 'diet' provides you with fast days, that will allow your body to wake up from it's state of food sedation and give you many hours to think of anything besides more food, recipes and cooking! It is real FREEDOM from having to weigh and measure and maintain increased focus on the very problem--EATING.....this helps you find a new relationship with food.
Dieting in general is hard on a why prolong it. This diet feeds your brain and vital organs and jump starts your metabolism for continued loosing....exactly what a diet should do....and without the need for special equipment, specially prepared foods....blah, blah, works rather like the Atkins, without the focus on food and portions and and just have to DO IT.
Which I am and what a relief.....FREE at last.
I paid $10 for this little 'recipe' and would have been pleased at the higher price.
If you want to know how to be fit and what the athletes and body builders do.....skip the doctor's appointment...and advice from the foodaholics sect.

**update--I have just completed my second week on this diet, doing the every-other-day approach. I will be writing RAVE reviews at the end of my journey with much detail...I know people like to read the numbers on these things. After the first few days (adjustment) on it, I settled in to a rythmn that feels as natural and easy as my normal life. I feel GREAT and am seriously jeans fit like 'clown' pants already. I just ordered my goal size (3 sizes smaller)...I AM NOT STOPPING UNTIL I REACH GOAL!!!

The 1 Day Diet really works. I have done it seven times in the past 16 days and lost 14 pounds and 1 1/4 inches around my waist!!! The first day was the hardest and I didn't think I could get through, but I just remembered all the positive results that everyone here wrote about and it got me through. That and reminding myself that I just had to get through this one day and tomorrow what I wanted to eat would still be there. After that, things were easier. I also used some of the supplements she suggests. Green tea really helps as I'm used to having coffee first thing in the morning. I've also continued to exercise. Other benefits that I have noticed are that I get fuller faster when I am off the diet and I am more conscientious about what I choose to eat. It's as if my body is craving healthier food. Of course I still enjoy sweet treats, which I do partake in. I just find myself being pulled more toward healther choices majority of the time and enjoying them more. I actually look forward to doing the one day diets. Once I hit my goal, I know I can use this to maintain my weight. For once in my life I feel in control of my weight instead of it controlling me and it's a great feeling. Thank you all for your reviews and encouragement!

THIS IS THE EASIEST PLAN I HAVE EVER DONE!!!!!! Let me start by describing myself: I am 31 year-old African-American woman. I have a full-type job in education, and I am raising the most active child in the world. I have a full-time job that requires me to travel daily. I am considered obese in health terms. I have tried WW, Medifast, HCG, and some other things to lose weight, but I found them all hard to commit to. I believe that I had found the plan that works my me and my lifestyle. I have been following the program since Dec. 5th, and after 6 diet days, I am down 7.6 lbs. I love that I can go every other day on plan, and eat the other days. I have even been able to skip diet days and be ok. I started out at 200 lbs, and my goal weight is 150. I do workout weekly with 2 Zumba classes and an adult dance class. I just want to say that this has been really easy for me. On diet days, I still cook for my daughter, and I am not really tempted. The thing is that changing the way you eat requires time, patience, and committment. I vowed to myself to give this a real chance. On days when I am not on the diet, I eat, but I eat with good sense. Give it a try. It is not hard, and it is very convenient for me. So again here are my stats: 12/5 - 200.8 12/18 - 193.2 after 6 diet days.

I found this diet while reading another book by Jennifer Jolan called Stupid Hormones! (also highly recommend). The 1 Day Diet was referenced a few times so I finally took the bait and clicked the link. I read a ton of the reviews, both good and bad, and decided to give it a try. At $10, I figured I could justify it to myself if it helped me reach my goals. I have spent the majority of my life since high school bouncing from one diet to another, never having much success. About 6 years ago, I lost 40 pounds on Weight Watchers and managed to keep it off for a long time. Then, in the last 2 years, I've watched 20 pounds, give or take, creep back on. I've tried many things, including WW again, with no luck. Basically, I was desperate to lose the weight I had gained plus another 10 pounds.

I downloaded this book and read it right away. I went out the very next day to buy the supplies that I needed. That was last Friday. I gave myself the weekend because we already had plans, but Monday morning, I started the 1 Day Diet. The book tells you to weigh yourself the night before you start and the morning after diet day. Perhaps I'm a cynic or just obsessed, but I weighed myself both the night before and morning of the diet to give myself an accurate baseline. I am not going to lie to you...both days that I've done the diet, by late afternoon/early evening, I felt like I was starving! To counteract that, I've been drinking tons of lemon water in between protein waters which really helps. Also, the green tea trick is great for your morning waters because you cannot drink coffee on diet days. I also love the supplement that she suggests in the book to stabilize your moods.

I know, I know...get to the good stuff, right? Ok. After 2 days on the diet, I have lost 8 pounds!
