The reviews caused me to expect more, I guess. It's fine background music at work, but pretty laid-back. I've listened to all the songs at least 3 times now and nothing has really jumped out at me. I don't even notice the songs by singers I'm familiar with.

On the plus side, I got this album for $3.99 and it more than fills 2 cds. I have MANY long quiet hours at work, so it fills that niche well. However, I enjoy more upbeat and lively music. And I like it when a song catches my attention so that I have to stop what I'm doing and go see who it is. Not a single song on this album has done that for me.

I do appreciate all these special deals amazon gives us and I have found new music I've enjoyed in the most unlikely compilations, usually free. I don't regret the few bucks I spent for this one.

This compilation is awesome. A lot of these bands I've never heard of, so this album costs more than $4 since I've now got to buy a LOT of the artists full CDs (not necessarily a bad thing, except for my wallet). The band Mojave especially - I love their sound and the vocals are great too!

When I first saw this album on Amazon the morning it was released, I knew I was going to buy it... I just didn't have time then. So right before Amazon switched over their MP3 Daily Deal at the crack of midnight, I was able to snag it! Not only was the price right, but the mix of genres and artists is stellar. If you like established and indie artists, this album is for you. And apparently there's something about saving the planet, too.

I desperately wanted to download the MP3 for the song by Grace Potter on this album, but it was not offered as a single MP3 purchase on Amazon or Itunes...oh well, it was only ten dollars for a lot of songs, and it is for a good cause. I'd say worth the money, although not all the songs are my favorite.

I burned this to cd and have been playing it in my car for the past several weeks. I just don't get tired of it - a great mix of music.

I'm a little confused. I purchased the album at full price - missed the deal but really wanted the album. I didn't get any of the songs that say album only. Anyone know why?

I agree with a previous reviewer that this introduced me to many artists I did not know. I've listened to a few songs and liked them. After a couple listens, which at 40 songs, may take awhile, I'll maybe give more of a review on specific songs, but I've liked what I've listened to so far. I do wish it was 10% for the planet, but I can donate other places.

This is a wonderful collection of songs by a wide variety of artists. Jack Johnson, Brandi Carlile, Jackson Browne, G. Love... these were worth the purchase alone! Thanks for the great price Amazon!
