This review is from: 1 Port Serial PCI Card (Personal Computers)
This sure is a serial port PCI card. I use it in a Linux server that doesn't have a serial port on the motherboard, in order to connect to a UPS for monitoring. It works fine- detected out of the box in Linux, no configuration necessary. It has a 16C950 UART for high-speed communication, not that I need it for talking to a UPS. I don't think you can say much more about a product like this; it either works or it doesn't, and this one works.
