5.0 out of 5 stars These are very good folks, awesome follow through
These folks called me three times just to make sure I received my warranty. Also, when I explained that I'm not giving the item I am covering with there insurance until Christmas they extended my policy 3 months for free. These are really good folks.

This product replacement plan has been a HUGE headache: when my daughter's MP3 player stopped working THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS, we called right away to find out how to get the replacement. After ages on hold--and I am a very patient woman, so I do mean AGES--we were told to take our contract to Best Buy for a replacement. Little did we know that the three Best Buy stores in our immediate area would have no record of any such agreement. When we called back--and stayed on hold again for ages--we found out that there, indeed, is no such contract. Instead, we have to go through a lengthy process via snail mail to get a replacement. Yep--you guessed it. This contract is useless. Do not waste your money.

2.0 out of 5 stars BUYER BEWARE!, April 30, 2009

I don't recommend this unless you are sure you know how to work the system. From my experience they will get around the replacement plan if possible! Don't call them until you are sure the manufacturers warranty has completely expired or it will be a "pre-existing condition" Big mistake for me to believe the advertisement!

1.0 out of 5 stars USELESS Warranty, October 14, 2008
This review is from: 1-Year Replacement Plan for Electronics Products $50 to $74.99 (Electronics)
The terms of this warranty are INCORRECT.

Quite clearly, it states that 'Failures caused by normal wear and tear' are covered under the warranty. I called support to get a replacement product due to a broken screen, and they told me explicitly that "accidental damage to units is NOT covered". So let's see... the warranty says that "Failures caused by normal wear and tear" are covered, and over the phone they told me that 'accidental damage to units is NOT covered'.

This seems pretty ambiguous and contradictory to me.

Also, there's no way to initiate the warranty service other than by calling the 800 number. The representatives were very courteous, but there isn't an online returns service.

Overall, this warranty was A WASTE OF MONEY. There's no reason at all to buy it.

This is absolutely bogus. I placed an order for this in the beginning of March and now it is mid-April and I STILL have not received my order!

I bought the replacement plan for my daughter's Sansa MP3 player. Thankfully it's still going strong after several years now.

I have not used this product yet and hope I never have to but I thought it would be a good idea since the product I purchase was refurbished. If I ever have to use the service plan, I will write another review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review of the 1-Year Replacement Plan for Electronics Products $50 to $74.99, July 6, 2007

This review is from: 1-Year Replacement Plan for Electronics Products $50 to $74.99 (Electronics)
Fortunately, I have not yet had to use the 1-Year Replacement Plan for Electronics Products $50 to $74.99, a plan that I purchased as more or less an insurance policy because it was so reasonably priced. Generally, the advice I read is to avoid such plans, which usually recapitulate the benefits of most products' warranties. But because this plan was cheap and because it extended the benefits of the warranty, I thought it worthwhile. Having been fortunate enough to have purchased a product that has not yet failed, however, I do not know whether the plan's providers will actually fulfill their replacement responsibilities if I should need them to do so. In other respects, the plan's providers have behaved professionally. They sent me notification of the plan and information about activating it in a timely manner. In fact, I received information from them before I received the product that the plan is supposed to protect. I hope I never have to contact them again. If I do have to contact them, I hope their professional behavior continues.
