I had a NEW warranty for an APEX 3-disc changer. It failed and was no longer available, so they simply refunded my purchase price. There was no hassle and the technicians are polite. Whenever possible, I try to get a National Equipment Warranty. Often, I will specifically pick a store to buy from based on whether they have extended warranties. NEW seems to be everywhere and reliable. I highly recommend this, or one of the other NEW policies (depending on price and type of unit purchased).

Originally, I wrote that I did not receive anything so I considered this a waste of money. Well, lo and behold, in response to that review, they called me, quickly and politely fixed the problem, and I learned the error MAY have been mine to begin with!! They were sincere and helpful. I would give them a second chance!

My MP3 failed after my product's warranty expired. Since the item was no longer available I did received a refund (Minus shipping) NOTE: Keep all paperwork from the original purchase.
