WHAT YOU GET
The 20 pieces add up to 10 buckles, and seem well made, but do not included sliders ("triglides"). Despite the problems reported by some other reviewers (which may refer to other brands or kits), this brand of buckles really are 1 1/2".

To me, the big advantage of 2-piece plastic buckles is the ability to create pre-adjusted belts and harnesses with no extra strap ends flapping around, but for that, you need sliders. For example: TRI-GLIDES 1 1/2" 6 PK ; 1 1/2" TRI-GLIDE 2 PK

MAKING AN ADJUSTABLE BELT--with loose ends that flap around (I haven't purchased the "triglides" yet, so I haven't tried making pre-adjustable belts)
Insert the webbing through the male buckle-half so that it stays put under tension. Fold over about 1/2" of the end one or two times (depending on the thickness of the webbing) and stitch and/or glue, to create a stop, so that the male buckle-half can't slide off. This also "hems" the strap, so there are no loose threads The strap (webbing) should be permanently sewed to the female buckle-half. For non-critical uses, you can use fabric glue instead of thread, or in addition to the thread. For example Beacon Fabri-Tac Permanent Adhesive, 4-Ounce The Beacon fabric cement is also excellent for attaching "sew-on" strips of velcro to webbing, for when a quick Velcro closure is preferred.

these buckles are not 1.5" as advertised, but around 1". this was very important to my project, so they are now useless to me.
if you go to the store and compare them, they are the exact size of a 1" buckle they sell at all fabric stores. MARK IT FOR WHAT IT IS.

It seems hit or miss if you get 1" or 1.5" -- I got the buckles for 1" webbing, not 1.5" as ordered. The bag is labeled as 1.5" but the buckles within are smaller than the stated measurements. These are about 2.6" long, 1.25" wide at the widest, with a 1" opening. Clearly there's some confusion somewhere....the seller for this order was "Camper's Haven." Otherwise the buckles seem well made. Haven't decided if I'll bother with a return since it was only $5...

These are good buckles that arrived promptly. I used Parachute Cord to make a belt out of them. The only problem is that the buckles are pretty big and half of my pants have belt loops that aren't big enough for this size of a buckle to pass through them. Otherwise, these are great.

The buckle opening is 1.04" not 1.5", clearly smaller than advertised, and smaller than their picture shows. The normal Amazon return process does not work with this vendor. The product seems to be well made - but it won't work if your strap is wider than 1 inch.

After reading some reviews from those who stated this is not the correct size, etc. etc. Well, this is the correct size! It is 1.5 inches wide. I'm thinking those who received a different size, was due to an error from an employee who couldn't read the detail's before grabbing the product off the shelf and shipping it. None the less, it fits and works beautifully with the 1.5" Duraflex plastic buckles and the 1.5" plastic Triglides.

I've been able to adjust the size on some gear I use when hiking. Also, I was able to adjust the size on a Maxpedition Thermite Versipack. (You will need to switch out the buckles on the Thermite as these are not a compatible match with the original buckles. )

Only complaint would be these are not as strong as other buckles of this class. But they are good, work well and would buy them again for the projects I do.

yeah they are big and they clip so they do exactly what they are supposed to do. 3 more words needed.

The buckles were perfect, but, unfortunately, I followed the previous reviews too much that stated the buckles were 1" buckles. Well...I actually received what the product states: 1.5" buckles, which was way too big for 1" webbing.

Return was flawless.

Just thought I'd share this since the reviews steered me wrong, which is normally not the case. It looks like the seller fixed the distribution issue.
