Bought this item as a Christmas present. After a few occasional uses, this item broke. Neither the store where the item was purchased (15 day return policy) nor the company (90 day limited warrantee) will take responsibility for the damaged item.

Mustek has an F rating on the Better Business Bureau. Would spend a little more money and buy a well known brand named player instead.

I have been a member of Amazon for at least 10 years and have purchased products that were excellent. However, this is probably the worst product i have purchased since then. Is there a rating lower than 1 Star? If so this one is it. I know what your thinking. Your thinking; probably some guy who have purchased the product and don't have a clue on how to work it. Not so, Actually i pride myself in being pretty technological savvy. In my personal experience, This Mustek portable DVD is very tempramental. If you have a slightly and i mean slightly dirty DVD it will force the player to restart the entire DVD from the beginning, sometimes for no reason it will not play certain DVD's "i still haven't figured that one out yet" and to top it off, the battery life is ridiculously low about 15 minutes or so. To attract your dollar though, It does look sleek and tempting but do yourself a favor "DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT." In all fairness i must say that Mustek Is just getting into the DVD portable player world, so i do know they are just starting out, mostly i think they are into the scanner business or something. But until they learn how to compete with brands such as Panasonic or JVC they are definitely out classed. So consumers find another portable DVD player to buy. If you are a Mustek executive and reading this Review, i got three words for you "WORK ON IT"

I liked this DVD player, good resolution, true color, however, the volume leaves a lot to be desired.
