Thanks For A Wonderful Album,
By JOSE I. L. "Josefo Sefo" (Navarra, Spain) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 10 Ar Med Agnetha (Audio CD)
I love it, though it took me some time and several listenings. I don't undertand the Swedish lyrics but it's all right: that even helps me focus on the music itself, the arrangements and -of course- Agnetha's vocals. I like almost every song in the album but let me choose "Thanks For A Wonderful Day" among my favourite ones (in spite of the guitar bit at the end!). Most of the songs are not the kind of thing many people might think of when talking about a former ABBA member. I mean they can be better or worse than the ABBA ones but they're different stuff (remember "Desillusion" in RING RING).
The tracks were recorded since 1968 to 1979. The older ones feature A. Fältskog singing with a voice hard to recognise as her own. Nine of the sixteen melodies in "Tio Ar Med Agnetha" were written by her, plus three of the lyrics.

A Must For All ABBA Fans,

This review is from: 10 Ar Med Agnetha (Audio CD)
I have played disc over and over. Sound is great, very much 60's style and in my opinion far better than her solo albums in the '80s. The only negative factor is I have no idea what she is saying (all in Swedish). Never the less, a great disc to own if you are a Agentha fan.

Much of the hits by abba were written by the 2 boys (benny and bjorn),little is known about the songwriting ability of agnetha. the first track off the album is her very first single and her very first hit. nearly all of the songs are written by her. for the abba completist, there's the swedish version of s.o.s. sadly, this is also her last original album for the (swedish) columbia label
