5.0 out of 5 stars The ULTIMATE companion to ANY fantasy/historical RPG
As a gamemaster, you are often stumped by strange questions from your player - how much does 50' of rope weigh? how much luggage can you fit in a wagon, how much for a jar of honey.

2.0 out of 5 stars Useless?
This gaming aid might not be for everybody. If you need descriptions of the mentioned items, you'll have to look elsewhere. My copy is gathering dust on the shelf at the moment and I'm afraid it'll stay there for some time.

This review is from: ...And a 10-Foot Pole (Rolemaster Standard System) (Paperback)
As a gamemaster, you are often stumped by strange questions from your player - how much does 50' of rope weigh? how much luggage can you fit in a wagon, how much for a jar of honey.
If you have every tried to run a fantasy or historical roleplaying game, this is the book for you - it lists thousands of different items, with approximate availability for up to 10 different technology levels (from stone-age through to late middle-ages/renaisance), with rules for adjusting pricing based on market availability; the average size and weigh of each item, how breakable they are, what materials are used in their construction, etc. Of course, where necessary, they provide game statistics for Rolemaster, but don't let that put you off - This title is an absolute MUST for any gamemaster.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent GM aid, February 28, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: ...And a 10-Foot Pole (Rolemaster Standard System) (Paperback)
This book has just about every item for every age of human existence. No more wondering in such and such would've been available and how much you should charge for it. I keep this book handy no matter the genre or system I use in my games.
