4.0 out of 5 stars Intelligent way to start the day, November 5, 2009

I work a Mensa puzzle every morning with my coffee and the combination is a delightful way to warm my brain up for the day ahead. The puzzles are challenging but not as difficult as the "Mensa" designation might indicate.

3.0 out of 5 stars Appropriate Title for Calendar, February 5, 2010

I bought this at the beginning of the year and so far has lived up to it's name. The puzzles take me more than ten minutes to do but that's good. That means they are just a little harder than I'm used to. They aren't as hard as the New York Times crosswords and they aren't as simple as those Easy crossword books you buy at the supermarket checkout.

The only drawback to this calendar is that it's too small. I have pretty good eyesight and the questions are a little hard to read and the puzzle itself is hard to write in. The paper dimensions of each sheet are 5 1/4 inches by 4 1/2inches with the 15x15 box puzzle being a little more than 2 1/4 inches square. Thats really tight. I had to buy a extra fine roller ball pen to make the letters small enough to fit in the boxes.

One thing I do like is that you can get an extra online calendar for free when you buy this. I have a wordsearch puzzle emailed to me every morning,

2.0 out of 5 stars Too easy, January 30, 2011

Most of the puzzles were too easy. I didn't even bother with them after the first couple of weeks. The Saturday/Sunday ones were the only ones that could be somewhat challenging. I prefer to do the NY Times puzzles.
