Jackie Warner, fitness expert, gym owner, television star and entrepreneur, instills passion into every aspect of her life. Fitness has always been a part of her life - as an accomplished childhood equestrian to collegiate athlete, Jackie built a strong base of experience and knowledge in both exercise and nutrition.

From a small town, Midwestern girl, to a self made millionaire by age 22, Jackie used her need for excellence and passion for creativity to become driven and diligent within the world of business. She found her first calling in the fitness industry while working as a writer for Warner Brothers. "I realized I had a much stronger purpose when I successfully turned a co-colleagues life around through diet, counseling and training. I was hooked and decided then and there to change career direction completely." Wasting no time, Jackie began revolutionizing the fitness industry by being one of the first to offer medical treatments within her multi-discipline wellness center in Beverly Hills called Lift. She also pioneered the concept of incorporating exercise therapy into traditional medical insurance plans.

Jackie's next endeavor was Sky Sport & Spa, a sports medicine and fitness club in Beverly Hills which she founded in 2002. Expanding on the multi-discipline concept, Jackie offers members personal training, nutritional counseling, chiropractic care, exercise classes and physical therapy - all within a glass-enclosed penthouse space featuring a breathtaking 360° view of Los Angeles.

Clients weren't the only people inspired by Jackie. Bravo's television network hired Jackie to be the star of her own reality series, entitled Work Out. The show launched in 2006 with rave reviews, offering the audience a glimpse inside Jackie's professional and personal life. On April 15th at 11:00pm the third season begins, which Jackie has nicknamed "Full Circle", as a result of her own personal struggles and triumphs that she encounters.

Work Out was also the perfect outlet to introduce SkyLab, Jackie's all-inclusive life-changing camp designed for overweight clients. "Come stay with me for a week and I will change your body, your mind and your life!" SkyLab offers a controlled atmosphere in which guests make serious commitments to intense exercise and a sugar-free diet. SkyLab clients also undergo therapy to help understand their challenges and set goals, as well as extensive teaching seminars on how to live in the real world.

Jackie also believes that a strong support network is a crucial factor in successful weight loss and she encourages SkyLabbers to forge bonds with one another after they have completed the program.

In addition to Sky Sport & Spa, Work Out and SkyLab, Jackie designed her own line of workout wear also called SkyLab Brands, which launched in 2007 nationwide at Paiva stores and contracted for sales at Home Shopping Network in 2008. "I couldn't find exercise clothes that looked trendy, felt comfortable and allowed me to leave the gym and go out for lunch or meet friends after work. I use ultra soft, pima cotton for ultimate comfort coupled with fun edgy graphics inspired by my Los Angeles lifestyle."

Jackie's Work Out DVD will hit the shelves on May 20th ($14.98)! Jackie states, "The DVD is unique in that the workout truly mimics a personalized one-on-one training session with me. Function, Form, and Fatigue are the goals and the format is highly personalized, so that viewers feel as if they were right here at Sky Sport training!" Another one of Jackie's endeavors include the introduction of her own protein shake and energy bar - both low in sugar and calories. With all this in the works, Jackie is a role model for multi-tasking.

Jackie's newly redesigned website ( is the ideal headquarters for viewing her many projects and passions. The website provides comprehensive fitness and nutrition information, along with the opportunity to create customized workouts. The online store will sell all of Jackie's workout wear, exercise DVDs, protein shakes and energy bars, among other fitness accessories. I just finished my first ten days with this program and i DID lose ten pounds!! I'm so excited to start phase two. I borrowed this book on a whim from the library but want to add it to my personal collection because of the "maintenance" pages and sample menus.

I like this program because:
- It's real food I was eating anyway (just in more specific amounts) (but gives you options for the powders and bars and whatnot if you want to go that route)
- the workouts are doable with no gym membership required and none were more than 30-45 minutes long
- I really did lose ten pounds in ten days - almost exactly!

I like the book because:
- it gives you explicit and illustrated lists for your workouts for each day of each phrase - very easy to follow.

I dislike this book because:
- i believe it may have been edited by a monkey - there are things in the grocery lists for certain weeks that aren't in the meal plans for those weeks, there are typos galore and other things that make the editor in me cringe.
- the "quick and easy downloadable reference chart" that is mentioned in the book for the workouts are actually *not* on the website (that i could find) but having this book with you does the trick anyway.
- there's only one "tear out" page - for the meals and workouts of phase one, not phases two and three.
- too often it felt like i was being bombarded with her other personal workout products - give it a rest, man - once would have been plenty.

My advice:
1. definitely give this program a try - stick with it and don't freak out too much about all the typos and discrepancies.
2. pay attention to the meal plans not the grocery list - do your own math for figuring out how much of something you need to buy
3. follow the workouts to the letter - you can do this.
4. Ignore all the plugs for her extra products.

I was really excited to start her diet. I like all of the foods she has you eating and was not feeling overly starving. However, the workouts are tough - especially if you haven't done weights in a long time. I am a runner and I am so sore from the first 2 days of workouts that I can barely wobble around my office. I have to say the 950 calorie diet with that kind of workout is not enough. I felt lightheaded during both workouts and actually passed out yesterday morning (day 3). I am decently in shape so was really shocked when I found myself passing out.

I have decided to continue on with the program, but I had to add more protein to the diet if I am going to continue with the workouts. I have already lost 2.6 lbs, and think this will continue to work with an additional 100-150 calories a day.

Just a warning to be careful if you find yourself feeling lightheaded.

I'm on day 5 of the program & have lost 5lbs, so right on target so far! I call it a program instead of a diet because with diets you finish them & go right back to the way you lived before. This "program" is designed to change the way you look/think about food. I have exactly 10 pounds maybe a little less to loose. I'm 5' 2" and 130 when I started. By using Jackie's "set weight" advice I look to be around 121-123 when I get done. My sugar & carb cravings are gone! Jackie takes the guess work & temptation away by giving you a meal plan that is the same everyday. Do I get hungry on the 950 calories a day? Yes, but not starving, & I have not passed out or felt dizzy. My energy has actually gone up, & my body is looking really firm & I have lost about 3 inches so far.
People who say the book is badly edited...Ok I see the typos & contradictions, but seriously use some common sense people!
Look through the menu & what it says your supposed to eat, if the grocery list says buy it & its not on the menu for the week...DON'T BUY IT! Problem solved!
I've had personal trainers, competed in fitness competitions, dieted & been very active my whole life...I can honestly say this is the best program I've ever done. Good job Jackie!

First of all, as a `reviewer', I believe that experiences are all relative! Let me tell you what I wanted out of this book: A 10-day boost that would reverse my weight loss plateau to finish out a weight loss competition as strong as possible.

Here's what you really want to know! I started the plan at 120 lbs and have lost 4 lbs in 4 Days! For you doubters, I have been dieting over the past 10 weeks and have previously lost the `initial water weight'. So - for the rapid weight loss, getting over the plateau, and for getting me to my competitive weight loss goal - this book deserves 5 stars! However - considering my gag reflex has kicked in mid-way and the lack of variety/flexibility - I am bumping my rating to 4 stars.

When the book arrived, I immediately gravitated to the 10 x 10 plan (lose 10 pounds in 10 days) and was disappointed to see that it was the same exact food selections every day. Jackie suggests the body is comfortable eating the same foods. I won't give away Jackie's secrets, but the staples of the diet are fruit, vegetables, spelt bread, chicken and lots of water! There's breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and dinner. There is very little cooking involved, but getting the items will require a shopping trip and some food prep. The foods can generally be bought in most grocery stores although I omitted `sprouts' as my small town does not have them available. Further, I have to tell you, I am a hungry girl and this 10 x 10 diet is only 950 calories/day! I was concerned that the calories were too light (especially when factoring in work-outs) so I did some modifications, basically increasing the veggies and adding cottage cheese as a night-time snack which did not seem to have a negative impact.
