Product Description

UK release. Formed back in 1984 and influenced by Slayer, Possessed, Kreator, Celtic Frost and Bathory. 2006 see’s Necrodeath releasing the 6th studio album of their now 20-years-long career - an album that follows the highly acclaimed greatest-hits (‘Years Of Noise 1985-2005’) and starts a new era for the renewed band (Claudio recently left Necrodeath for personal reasons and was replaced by Labyrinth talented guitarist Pier Gonella). ‘100% Hate’, the highly-anticipated new album, will be released on the 17th April and is already described as the most diverse Necrodeath album to date, containing 10 furious tracks spanning from the fast thrashing assault of the mid-eighties to the groove-oriented sonic holocaust displayed with the latest efforts. The band is also proud to announce a very special guest-appearance coming from mighty Cronos (Venom), universally described as the Godfather of black metal. Scarlet Records. 2006.

4.0 out of 5 stars Yet another excellent Black Metal entry for 06!, November 26, 2006

2006 will probably go down in Infamy as "the-year-Black-Metal-became-accessible"! This year we've seen the release of incredible CDs by Satyricon, Cradel of Filth, I, Dissection (RIP Jon), Carpathian Forrest and now Necrodeath. Rather than the usual loud/fast/unlistenible drums n guitars that go nowhere these CDs have a broader appeal that make them not only accessible but even entertaining to those who don't care much for this sub genre. Necrodeath's "100% Hell" is loud n fast but shows a creativity that 90% of Black Metal bands lack- especially with the Iommi-esque riffs. Here's hoping for more listenible Blacl Metal in 07!

3.0 out of 5 stars , June 3, 2006
After their essential `Greatest Hits' compilation from last year, Necrodeath are ready to put themselves in the map with 100% Hell, an album that's representative of the title for many obvious reasons. The band's brand of thrash metal remains intact, but they play it with a modern approach. The old-school spirit is still there, combined with groovy parts and short, precise songs. Commanding, classic Slayer-esque portions inject the songs with deadly fury, while the vocals are suitable for nature of the music. Flegias' voice sounds identical to Shagrath of Dimmu Borgir, giving it a blackened feeling to the material. Excellent effort by these Italian thrashers. 3.5/5

3.0 out of 5 stars 50% Hell, September 12, 2009

After hearing Master of Morphine, I thought this album was going to own. Wrong. It is satisfactory and nothing more. I would suggest downloading MoM and not buying this cd. New Necrodeath has been a let down for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Same ol' Necrodeath
I usually don't write a review on an item when others have, but this is an exception only because I strongly disagree with the others. Read more
