100% Beeswax Candles - Make Your Own Candle Kit - Do It Yourself!

I bought this product for my children (4 & 7) so that they could make candles as Christmas presents for family & friends. The beeswax sheets were easy to work with, I warmed them a bit with a blow-dryer to make rolling easier. My 7 yr old was able to make candles completely on her own after I demonstrated for her, 4 yr old needed a little help :) They both had a lot of fun decorating the candles they made with shapes cut from scraps of wax sheets, and while they were busy crafting, we read the very information info sheet that came with the product and had a great discussion about bees and their work. The wax smells and feels wonderful and I was glad it was a natural, non-toxic product my girls could work with. I would definitely recommend this as a fun and educational craft to do with children.

I ordered this product twice in one week. The first one that arrived was missing the wick but the second had them and was enough to make full candles with both sets of wax. Using one sheet to make a candle made the candle very thin for each one so I used two sheets or cut them in half and wrapped it around twice and they looked great. Making small tea light type candles was not worth it as they only would burn for about 5-10 minutes. These candles burn very cleanly and were beautiful as the glow would shine through the outer layers of the beeswax so adding patterns to the outside would change the glow colors and look wonderful. So far this is the only kit I have found that comes with wick to make bees wax candles and the colors of wax that I got were great including some honey colored, pinks and reds, blues, greens, and oranges. The colors between the kits were similar though some were different shades and were not perfect matches.

My children got this from Santa this year for Christmas. We have already make 2 candles each. Even my 4 year-old has had no problem rolling up the candles. They look really nice, too. This would make a great gift for anyone. It comes nicely boxed and the colors of the candles are exactly as pictured. Directions are included for making other types of candles, not just the tapered ones. These are great!

I bought this kit for my kids to make candles for gifts. The package arrived very nicely and no sheets were broken (even though it was cold out-I was worried about that). But, we sat down to work on the candles and there were only 9 sheets when there were supposed to be 10. Which meant that someone didn't get to make two.... And the colors were a little faded on the edges but we went around that by wrapping those edges first.

The directions don't say it, but I recommend using a hair dryer to warm them up first otherwise they will crack if you aren't living somewhere very warm!

This is a beautiful gift, but when mine was sent, it was sent without wicks. I had to return it and I couldn't get a new one in time for Christmas giving.

Bought this as a birthday gift for my nephew (age 11). He loved it. Opened it right away and starting making candles. Easy to use. Good gift idea. Would purchase again.

These are great! Rolling these beeswax sheets into candles makes for easy, beautiful and very special gifts. Of course, I also use them myself at home too. These do not have the dreamy scent of some beeswax candles (maybe the coloring process throws it off?) but they come in a nice variety of colors and are very easy to work with. Highly recommended!

Product shipped promptly. Purchased this for just my 9 year old daughter and I to make our own simple candles. Sometimes I think some of the sheets of beeswax are a little on the brittle side, but maybe this is normal. So far, this has been a fun kit to work with. The colors of the sheets are very neutral and pretty.

Fun quick little activity to do with kids. You use a hair dryer to soften up the wax (it happens quick, it's not like you're melting it) and then you roll it up around one of the wicks. That's it! If you're looking for something more involved, this isn't it.

Optionally, which we did, you can cut the wax sheets into thirds in both directions, so we made 9 smaller candles from each sheet. These were perfect for Hannukah candles. If you do this for all the sheets though (which would give you 90 candles) you won't have enough wick, so you'll need to buy some additional wick string.
