If you like Charles Aznavour, you will love this new collection. It contains some of his classic songs, as well as those from a few years ago. One good song is followed by an even greater one, without boredom. Aznavour is a timeless masterpiece, which keeps on perfecting.

I don't claim to be an Aznavour expert; the fact that I bought this proves that I do like him and that I am, obviously, familiar with his biggest hits. However, I did not find some (if not most) of his greatest hits here. I will have to look elsewhere for them. The collection is otherwise very good and the quality of the sound is remarkable. I am still recommending this set, but not as the only Aznavour in your collection.

I have been listening to Aznavour since the mid-60s and have more than 40 vinyl albums and probably 15-20 CDs. I bought this collection in case I have to part with my albums. It has 5 discs, starting with the 1950s and progressing through to the present. There are songs here that I have never heard -- and I thought I had a complete collection. It chronicles Aznavour's writing through different styles in music. Jazzy in the 1950s, more like rock in the 1960s and 70s. A little disco. Most of my favorite songs are on these discs in their original production format and include the date each song was recorded. This is a wonderful addition to the collection of both longtime fans and new fans who want to get a broad perspective of this wonderful man's career. Bravo, Charles!
