I cannot believed it,when I typed Cri Cri you found it for me, I am 54 years old and me and my little sister have been grown with this sweet songs in venezuela were we two were born.last year my sister was killed by a cancer,I live in italy and never I could thought that I would hear that songs again.I put on the cd, close my eyes and I can feel that she is by my side like when we were children and sang together.when I will have some grandchild I will put on the cds for them to learn those songs.thank you amazon.

I consider Cri Cri a genius and a musician, very inspiring. Cri Cri has a huge collection of children's stories, each one with its corresponding music (songs.) He teaches kids about science, ethics, philosophy, honor, culture, geographic, mathematics, physics and more. Kids learn having fun. Additionally, kids develop music appreciation. Cri Cri experimented with almost allrhythms: classic, valet, jazz, salsa, country, tango, polka, and many more. Listening to Cri Cri is a fabulous music experience.

Cri Cri's material is only available in Spanish. These are stories and songs that adults can listen, with or without their children. Even when some tunes are a bit old fashion, 50's and 60's. They are refreshing and the stories very educating, especially in our modern times, where drugs, violence and chaos are predominant.

We are an English speaking only, white American couple with a 10 month old daughter who we are exposing to Spanish in hopes of her learning to read and speak the language latter in life. We found this Cri Cri CD and bought it based on all the 5 star reviews here on Amazon...and wow, its awesome! We play it for the little one of course, but must admit that my wife and I love it to and find ourselves dancing around the living room to this CD - even if we don't understand the language. It sounds 'old-fashion', kind of like listening to an old LP vinal album, and that adds a lot a great character to it. You'll love this music!

Que sorpresa ! Haber encontrado todas estas canciones en un solo conjunto de CDs. A mis 33 años tengo a mi primer bebe de 2 meses. Y la musica me enternece mas que nunca y me hace recordar los momentos que pasaba con mi abuelita y con mi mama.

This two volume collection is excellent. It includes a huge number of Cri Cri's classic children's songs. The songs are about animals, trains, children, all great compositions by Francisco Jose Gabilondo Soler of Veracruz, Mexico. Each song has a different musical style (tango, fox-trot, danzon, etc.); you will never get tired of hearing these albums. Singable, danceable, very up-beat and tender, these songs have been children's, and parent's, favorites since Soler began composing these pieces for the radio in the 30's.

Francisco Gabilondo Soler, CRI CRI, children's music exhibits many extraordinary qualities that are bound to enrich your child's development. The songs display exquisite story telling and given the opportunity, CRI CRI will take the listener's imagination on an awesome voyage. Created during the golden radio's age the songs emphasize the virtues of the spoken word. The music it s a blend of various Latin and classical styles, pure acoustics, no synthesizers. This kid of artistic performance is extremely difficult to find anywhere today, specially in Spanish. Think of a musical Mexican salsa in which the ingredients the genius found in Andersen and Grimm's fairy tales, Dr. Seuss's rhymes, Louis Armstrong song's, Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker," Perez Prado's mambo, and many more; toping it all up with the spice of Mexican culture. Due to the era in which the music was created, certain elements could be found objectionable in this "politically correct" age. However, to not listen to it would be like not listening to Bach's cantatas because they were created exclusively with a Christian fundamentalist mentality. I personally believe some of the songs such as "Negrito sandia," and "Curumbe," were CRI-CRI's attempt to influence the children of his time away from racial prejudice, and expose them to a world of diversity. These two songs in particular emphasize the color of the characters due to the nature of the songs, they are Caribbean; this is classic of Caribbean style music. I hope you and your children enjoy many ours listening to this music, as countless of Latin children have.

Como maestra bilingüe de Kindergarten, lo recomiendo. Es un clásico, y los niños se divierten mucho escuchándolo.Me gustan las canciones que son cuentos al mismo tiempo.

This is a great CD set for anyone who grew up listening to Soler's children's songs in Spanish. It's the best 100 songs and with amazing sound quality. Listening to the songs brings all the happiness back. Now I get to share this music with my infant triplets. It's the best! I highly recommend it.

I grew up listening to Cri Cri and I was ecstatic to see this collection available online. I highly recommend this collection! I love playing the CDs right before I put my one-year-old to sleep... it helps calm him down, and he falls asleep shortly after. It is also a great collection to play when you have children in your car. It is a collection I hope to pass on from generation to generation and hope many more see the value and appreciate this timeless music.

I bought this, worried about the type of music I would find based on the cover images - the bright silly graphics are typically on bad, ear-aching music for children. But this music is pleasant for adult and child. If you want high-pitched children singing along though, this is not the CD for you. Unfortunately, there are no lyrics in any language, which I greatly wanted.
Overall, a nice cd and would purchase again.

Update: since we bought this a few years ago, we have never listened to it again! If I knew what some of the songs were about with lyrics, I would likely enjoy it more.
