I purchased this cover from Amazon after realizing that every time we switched out our synthetic comforter in the summer for our down comforter in the winter, I woke up with a badly swollen face and eyes. A visit to an allergist confirmed as allergy to dust mites. This cover is soft like it promises. There's NO crinkly sounds at all. It feels just like super tightly woven cotton. The true test of it's worth is that it's been three months now, and no swollen face and eyes in the morning. I also purchased their pillow covers. If they make a mattress cover, I'm in for that next. :) Oh, PS: I'm thinking that heeding the manufacturers instructions on not washing these often is good advice. I would think that would loosen the weave. I'm using them under another duvet cover, and under pillowcases.

I have looked on line and in stores for almost a whole year to find a comforter cover like this. It is so soft and such smooth 100% tightly woven cotton. It has a super nice pliable plastic zipper to encase your down comforter. I ordered it one night late and it was in my hands in less than three days. I am VERY pleased and I am a very picky person!
