100% good!,

Jason Meadows is a rare find - his strong voice, good looks, and love of traditional country and country-rock evoke George Strait and Chris LeDoux, but he has a driving musical style all his own. His previous claim to fame was as first runner-up in the 2005 edition of "Nashville Star." Many people believe he was robbed. Here's hoping this album brings him the recognition that his talent so richly deserves.

To start, doesn't the cover of the CD look computer generated? Like something from a video game. It just doesn't look right. hahahaAnyway, the CD on a whole is kind of mediocre. The first song really is a great song. It's singable, and I don't understand why it never charted. Maybe it sounds too much like other stuff that's out there. Maybe the timing was wrong, I don't know. The next song, "Country as a dirt clod" is what sets this album apart from others. It's not that it's a bad song, it's just, well, Goofy. A dirt clod? It sounds akward in the song and takes away from the flow. Plus, every country singer has a song like this on their album. The next song, Big Shot is kind of the same goofiness. 18 video tapes is definitely the best song on the album. Once again, I don't know why this didn't chart. It's really sad and will bring a tear to your eye, especially as a guy. After that the album kind of flows into every other country album. It's like, he's not really sure what type of country artist he wants to be. Is he a rocker? Old school? If he would have stuck with 100% cowboy/18 video tapes sound he would be great. The last song is my second favorite. It's another killer country rock song. once again, if he just would have stuck with this sound, he'd probably be selling more albums. This album suffers from "filler". There's three really good songs and the rest are just there to take up the space on the CD.

The Jason Meadows CD I purchased was better than expected and the seller was perfect. Would buy from seller again in a heart beat.
