I ordered 2 sets of this 100ft ethernet cable and they were both (I suspect) defective... at least I hope that is the case. I ran a speed test on both cables, straight from my cable modem and with my router, and got .02 and .05 mbps respectively. Don't bother with these, it isn't worth getting a defective product. If you do decide to order this, test for quality before you go through the trouble of installing/running the cable.

Edit: wanted to add that I get between 15-20mbps avg on speed tests using other cables, including ones of the same length.

Received the cable right away, works perfect. We do much gaming and downloading and it handles it all for 3 computers. Glad to have ordered it.

this is the forth one i bought. never had a problem. i even buried one so now i have internet in my work shed. i know they are not rated to bury but mine has been underground for over a year now with no problems.at my local home depot they want over $30.00 for a hundred foot that is the same thing. would buy again!

CAT5 cables should have twisted pairs of wires to cancel out electromagnetic interference. This product does not have twisted wires and that makes it, by definition, NOT a CAT5e cable, not even a CAT5.

this is very cheap actually almost every ethernet cable i have looked at is wayy cheaper then in stores locally so I always purchase mine online. I have purchased many and this one is the same as the others they are all great and do just as expected. I definitely recommend ordering online because it is alot cheaper for stuff like this and no quality is compromised in the least

Bought it to have internet access from my basement to my second story office of my home. When I first purchased the wire i noticed the wires were not internally braided and it consisted of many loose wires running through a black tube. But dont let the poor assembly fool you. Like i have been told when i was very young "dont judge a book by its cover". About 60 feet has been exposed by the outside climate; rain, snow, heat and even some freezing rain (rain that freezes after impact). Although the cable has been exposed to such environment the cable showed no signs of wear and is still in great condition.

I would reccomend this cable for anybody that wants to extended their internet connection at their home or office.

Well it is 100 feet, but it kinks, and is made with the cheapest coating I have ever encountered. Save your money.

Good quality, inexpensive, CAT5 cable. Using for security cam application with POE. Seems to be well made and should last. The price is great on Amazon. I ordered several extra ones just to have them around. Also got some 50 feet rolls.

I put this little cable through a beating when I installed it. It was under water, went through mud, had drywall dust all over it, hit a drill a few times and got beaten up pretty badly. And it's no worse than brand new. I'm sending data without any significant packet loss at all.

This is probably the best cost-benefit ratio cable you can buy.

What can you say about an ethernet cable, other than it does the job? This one does that, and at a quarter of the price those robbers at Radio Shack want for one half the length. You can get one cheaper here, but I chose this one because of the good reviews, and it seemed more robust than the cheaper ones. I'm running it outdoors, so we'll see how it withstands the elements, but so far, so good.
