From School Library Journal
PreSchool-- With familiar objects labeled around them, cheerful toddlers cavort through a day's activities. Boys and girls are depicted dressing, playing, swimming, shopping, eating, and so on. Each two-page spread details one event, such as visiting the park. There is no actual text. As a child sees a swing, a stroller, or a bird, the name of the object also appears. Since the book is aimed at prereaders, the real goal is to get adults and children to discuss what is happening in each illustration. The families shown are mostly white, but a few black and Asian characters are included. The illustrations are clear and colorful, and clever details add touches of humor. --Lucinda Snyder Whitehurst, County of Henrico Public Library, Richmond, VA
