This classic Buckwheat Zydeco album has been released on CD. Buckwheat is a long-time favorite among zydeco and blues fans, he plays Clifton Chenier-style piano accordion, rather than the more traditional 10-button diatonic accordion, so his sound is a bit bluesier than some zydeco fans will be used to.I have to say that while the music on this album is absolutely top-notch, my very favorite thing about it is the cover art, a picture of Buckwheat standing in front of a table of food, all of which is covered in crawfish, even the breakfast cereal. You'll notice that the cereal brand is 100% Fortified Zydeco. Very funny. I'm glad they didn't stupidly choose to "update" the cover art from the LP to the CD.

Ici, c'est le vrai zydeco! Je ne connais pas Stanley, mais je vais vous dire que ici c'est de la bonne musique, soul musique de la Louisiane, c'est vrai! Ecoutez, roulez, dancez, faisez la fete, ici c'est de la verite!
