Bait and switch,

Don't waste your money thinking you are getting the original recordings. Most are poorly recorded live performances or re-recordings that don't hold a candle to the original. I have had this with other artists in the past and was sorely disappointed. The phrase "ripped off" comes to mind. All of these compilations should say definitively whether or not they are the originals.

Don't expect the original recordings, like I foolishly did. They pulled these artists out of retirement homes and put this collection together. Poor quality recordings and worse sounding voices, arrangements are flat.

This cd had very poor quality sound on many of the songs. Many or all were reproductions by unknown artists NOT the original artists. lots of them sounded like they were taped off the radio and applied to this cd. I was VERY,VERY, VERY, disappointed. I would not even accept this as free if I had a chance to preview this item. It should be removed off your catalog

"Disappointed" is the sum of this review. The versions of the songs are not the well known ones in most cases.
Examples are "Somebody to Love" and "House of the Rising Sun". They sound nothing like the well known versions. Skip this CD set
