People, this is a mixtape, not his 3rd Album...,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: 100 Grand Jin (Audio CD)
I know it's a little bit confusing but this is Jin's mixtape. It was originally called "A Bunch of Songs and some Freestyles" but Jin changed it at the last minute. To those diehard Jin fans, alot of the songs on here were already released on previous mixtapes before. Jin did record some new songs on here, such as "Money Comes, Money Goes", "FYI", "The Ambassador" and others. My favorite song is "Money Comes, Money Goes." The beat is sick and Jin kills it. I also like the song he did with Floetry(even if it came out in 2004). Hi-Tek laced Jin with a good beat and Jin killed it lyrically again.
Jin has already mentioned that his true 3rd album will be coming out next year. It is tentatively called, "I Promise." We will have to wait until then to hear another album.

Not As Bad As You Think...,

This CD is much better than his last CD The Emcee's Properganda. The beats are better but not as good as his first CD. He seems to be in more control of his career this time around and that means that all the songs are a little complain-y. He still does have alot of talent. too bad the variety is not as good this time around.

Loved this CD like the past 2. Every song has wit and humor. Some of his songs crack me up.

CD Review: Jin - 100 Grand Jin,

Jin is one of my favorite MCs in the game today, I'm talking like Top 10 as far MCs actually putting out new albums and based on the quality of the new albums, not prior success. I really enjoyed Rest Is History and MC Proper'ganda is one of favorite albums that very few people have even heard. 100 Grand Jin is no exception.
A little back ground for those unfamiliar. Jin is a Chinese cat from NYC who turned heads on 106 & Park Freestyle Fridays. He parlayed a 7 week run into a deal with Ruff Ryders, put out one album with the Double R and has since been doing his own thing. He's known as a battle-rapper, but don't think that means he can't craft songs. This album is basically what you'd expect from Jin, although a little bit poppier than Proper'ganda. It's got the boastful battle raps, the personal songs as well as some clever ideas. Jin may be a little corny at times, but he is a true MC and lyricist and he always stays true to himself. If you are a fan of real MCs like I am, then you should definitely check out Jin. The good: "F**k Jay-Z!" is brilliant; Tons of great songs like "F.Y.I.", "Long Winding Road", "Back Pack", "Through Ha Days" & "Upside Down"; great jack of GangStarr's "Mass Appeal" beat; Lyrics son, lyrics! The bad: The beats are average; A few wack tracks like "Let Me" & "Something About You"; the guests don't really bring anything to the table. The rating: 3.5/4.0

Following up "The Emcee's Properganda", Jin previously titled this album "A Bunch of Songs and Some Freestyles" but apparently scrapped the title before its release. Now titled "100 Grand Jin" this is just a mixtape containing some old tracks along with some new tracks to hold us fans over until his 3rd official album comes out.
1. The Ambassador - 4/5 2. 100 Grand Jin - 4/5 3. F.Y.I. (Featuring YungMAC) - 4/5 4. Long Winding Road - 5/5 5. Money Comes, Money Goes - 4/5 6. Mass Apeal - 4/5 7. Politics as Usual - 3.5/5 8. F*** Jay-Z - 4/5 9. Back Pack - 3/5 10. Music is for Life - 2/5 11. Through Ha Days - 4.5/5 12. Let Me (Be Myself) - 2/5 13. Something About You - 3/5 14. Food Fight (Featuring The Far East Movement) - 4.5/5 15. Upside Down - 3.5/5 Overall: 55/75 3 Stars Even though this is a mixtape, it's very disapointing. Jin is one of the sickest Mc's of our time and his last album proved that but this is terrible. It started out good and as it went on it got worse. Some of the hooks were bad, some of the beats didn't knock and some tracks were just straight up wack all together. I hope his album doesn't turn out like this. Come on Jin you can do wayyyy better!

Please don't buy from this artist,

I am a student from the University of Minnesota's Asian-American Student Union. We jumped on the chance to book Jin--a rising star in the American music industry where Asians are essentially unrepresented--for the feature of our annual spring conference and Asian Heritage Month. Unfortunately, Jin did NOT show up, NOR did he refund our money. Through months and months of continuing effort, we have attained sparse contact with Jin and his manager Kamel in which they promise the money but have not seen any of the $4000.00 to this day. As students, it will be difficult for us to find the time and money to file a suit, so in protest, please do not support this artist who is unwilling to repay us students.
