This compilation is a delightful CD with terrific renditions of The Highwayman, Panhandle Country, Autumn Leaves, and Going Up On the Mountain. The playing is great - if you like Grisman, Bush, Hartford, and Jerry G. then this is a nice mix. The songs offer a lot of variety in style - perhaps a reason to not give this is five star rating. In a sense, lacking a theme as most production CDs do can make it rough on the flow of an idea. But that is the only criticism. If you are interested in getting exposed to some of these musicians, than pick this CD up and take a seat near the fireplace. Good stuff!

Great musicianship, boring tunes,

I bought this because of the great musicians. They are great and their playing is fantastic. But few of the tunes would I want to hear again. I'd advise listening to the album before buying unless you are a student and want to hear great techniques.
