Stellar debut - I can't stop listening!,

This debut CD by Pocket Size is simply amazing - Liz and Darren have put together an amazing tribute to everything pop. The lyrics, the melodies, the rhythm and the accompaniment is superb. I am blown away by how utterly beautiful some of these tracks are! I have shared this album with countless friends who have found it irresistible after a few listens! I have to admit however, I did not groove on the album the first round. A few retailers were doing a "buy an Everything But The Girl CD and receive an up and coming artist for free". It certainly worked for me, even though I didn't buy the package, I certainly bough them separately to show my support of Atlantic and the artists they support. Some highlights on this album: 100% Human - tremendous pop. My favorite song on this album: Know Nothing. Stunning! Walking is great, Death of Me superb! I can go on and on...If you do nothing else this year, try this album out!

We've really loved this album though we can't remember how we got it. This is such feel good, pop, fun music showing such great talent from the artists. It picks me up and makes workouts, parties and car rides upbeat and interesting.
We had it in the car CD changer for a month several months ago and now I am on the hunt for it again!

Strangely beautiful pop. Behind the haunting pop melodies lies a rare musical eclecticism and a profoundly innocent yet disturbing song writing ability only seen before from the likes of Brian Wilson. I recommend it!

100% Human by Pocket Size--I have heard this compilation from a friend's copy, and I was enthralled by the entire album. When you listen to each song, you might think that it is a different band for each song, which is refreshing. No two songs sound alike. Different instruments, excellent melodys and rhythms for dancing (but not overly techno) or listening, and great harmony. I have tried it, and now I am going to buy it!

I have seen the future of pop...,

Darren Pearson and Liz Overs have concocted a stunning debut of remarkable versatility. How many albums can you name that seamlessly evoke prime-time 70's FM rock *and* 80's electropop? At the same time, 100% Human is strikingly contemporary, mixing in trip-hop rhythms with the abovementioned retro influences. Genre borrowings aside, what sticks in the mind are the insanely catchy tunes, darkly humourous lyrics and alluring vocals. Taken as a whole, 100% Human practically screams breakthrough. Make no mistake; this is the stuff of which pop legends are made.

Outstanding ten years ago, outstanding now.
If you're reading this review, then you've either gotten totally lost on Amazon, or are one of the handful of people who bought this CD a decade ago. Admittedly, writing a review of an album this old and forgotten isn't going to do the artist any good, but I feel obligated to state for the cyber-space record that I find this to be exceptionally good music. I heartily encourage you to snap up one of the abundant 72-cent copies listed here. Rarely--or basically, never--does an album come along that has such good lyrics (in general) set to such catchy, well-produced music, and sung by such a knockout vocalist (not unlike Alison Goldfrapp.) There's really not a stinker in the bunch, but the stand-outs are Human Touch, Walking, Death Of Me, Miles And Miles & Know Nothing (my favorite.) In short, a must-have for any Brit Pop fan. As far as I know, this duo never recorded anything else. What a shame.
