This album ultimately redefines and qualifies PEPE AGUILAR as the premiere heir apparent male vocalist in modern Mariachi Music. His hypnotic, dreamy vocal qualities and interpretive skills reign supremely over the other contenders, post Vicente Fernandez. He is a rare singer with a capacity for making every lyric he sings sound incredibly realistic, whether he is singing a traditional, Norteno tinged, or tender ballads and boleros from the Mariachi Songbook. Pepe Aguilar's exquisite vocals demand attention and are the defining moments in the Mariachi genre. Aguilar is as classic and fine a Mariachi singer as Frank Sinatra was to Pop. Pepe's recent excursions into Pop may have been succesful, only for his name and reputation in the music industry, but, his Mariachi explorations find him right at the top of his game and where he ultimately belongs as a singer. Music fans the world over yearn and beckon for his return, as he's become the most beloved of the modern crop of male vocalists in the Mariachi genre. Music lovers just can't ever get enough of Aguilar's brand of Mariachi, and are always left awestruck with his interpretaions. His music speaks volumes for itself. Aguilar is simply and categorically the best!
