Real Hip-Hop is ALIVE.,
This review is from: 100 Proof: The Hangover (Audio CD)
Statik Selektah does it again. He brings some of the best names in REAL Hip-Hop together (some may be absent, AOTP is releasing an album VERY soon). "The Thrill is Gone" might be my favorite song. It speaks the truth. If you listen to the people who leech of the game, the "Young Money"s, the 50 Cents, the Kanye Wests, those who have perverted the message that Hip-Hop is supposed to deliver, you should pick up this album and repent. "Do it 2 Death" with Lil Fame of M.O.P. goes hard and reminds me of the good ol' days of Gang Starr. "Critically Acclaimed", "So Close, So Far" "Drunken Nights" "Life is Short" are great songs and "Night People" might be a close second to "The Thrill is Gone." The rest of the songs are great, Termanology does an outstanding job. Show love to those who keep hip-hop ALIVE. Peace.

A hangover you want to have...,
This review is from: 100 Proof: The Hangover (Audio CD)
Gonna keep this short. Statik Selektah has already solidified his place as one of the best producers in the hip-hop game, and this album is no exception. His previous efforts were excellent but this project shines a whole lot brighter. The album contains features from a lot of classic acts such as Souls Of Mischief & Lil' Fame as well as equally talented show off up and comers Kali & JFK. There is zero filler material in this album and every single song is crazy top to bottom. My two favorites as of now are "The Coast" & "Walking Away" but I'm sure thats bound to change day in day out with all the tracks being great. If your a fan of open minded hip-hop music I strongly suggest you get this album. An instant favorite and album of the year potential. Also don't forget to get that Pre-Game EP on iTunes! Show Off!

Low Key Classic Compilation Album With Solid Production from Statik Selektah,
This review is from: 100 Proof: The Hangover (Audio CD)
Just off of the production alone this cd gets five stars from me. I could listen to this album straight through or on random its so good that the order you play it in doesn't matter. Very nice compilation album.

This album is hot from the beginning to end, its straight hip hop and has that feel good music all over it. It will definitely be one of the hottest albums of the year and has bangers with crucial lyricists. Just look at the names on the tracks, that mixed with statik's intelligence as a producer is one of a kind. This is a must cop cd!!

I have to admit. I slept on Statik Selektah. While I had heard the name here and there I never realized how good of a producer he is. This album is just full of bangers. I can't get that Come Around hook out of my head. I gotta say this is my early canditate for best hip hop album of 2010. Go out and buy this cd if you appreciate real hip hop.
