This book turned out to be quite interesting. It is primarily just a series of questions about psychiatry, along with a number of comments and theories. Most of the focus is on three brain chemicals- serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine- that the author thinks have gone awry in most cases of mental illness. The author seems to know his stuff but could have done a better job explaining some of the questions and theories. Nonetheless, it did give me a new perspective about psychiatry.

The author poses 100 excellent questions about the mechanisms in the brain that cause mental illness, the medications used to treat these illnesses, and the other available treatment options, as well as his own theories in answer to these questions. In my opinion, these are definitely questions that psychiatry should not only face, but answer for their own good, and that of the patients treated by the doctors in question.
This is a quick, easy read, but very pertinent to anyone who has a mental illness, and is looking for good questions to ask his or her doctor about how the brain works, and how they will be treated for their given disorder.
An excellent read, in my opinion!

I believe this book to be a total waste of money. It is written at too simplistic a level for psychology or psychiatry students. I suppose if you know nothing about the subject it could be of some use, however, if you have already taken Psych 101 at high school or college this book is of no use.
