Advanced Violinists Please Read!,

This review is from: 100 Solos : Violin/AM33671 (Paperback)
I have been playing the violin an excess of 8 years now. I recently graduated from High School, where I was in the Chamber Orchestra as well as the full ensemble. I couldn't bear to let my music die as I go off to college, so I purchased this book, expecting the typical beginners array of pieces. I was pleasantly surprised. This book has many different styles of music. It seems to rely heavily on music from the movie Oliver Twist, so if you are a fan of this movie, you should love this book. It also includes several Mexican Traditional tunes, and even the song Bipidi Boppity Boo, from the Disney classic Sleeping Beauty. Be warned, not all songs are full length pieces, and many are songs I've never heard before, which makes practice difficult, but the music is challenging enough and varied enough to engage interest, and keep you practicing. A great buy!

Great book for beginners,

This book has a good range of difficulty for a beginner. The first few songs are very doable for me (I've been playing for 6 months now.) and there are many that I will have to work up to. I expect to be using this book for a very long time.
