5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect CD/DVD sleeve
I'm not sure what the other reviewer was expecting, these are not mailers. These are basic CD/DVD sleeves for storage. Tyvek is like super-strong paper. I have been using this product for years and they are perfect for bulk-storage of CD/DVD's. I would never use paper sleeves, as tiny bits of paper end up on the DVD media and are a pain to remove. 3.0 out of 5 stars Nice, but thinner than others
They are the normal CD/DVD sleeves, but the Tyvek is a little thinner than others that I have purchased before. It will still do the job though.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect CD/DVD sleeve, May 10, 2008

I'm not sure what the other reviewer was expecting, these are not mailers. These are basic CD/DVD sleeves for storage. Tyvek is like super-strong paper. I have been using this product for years and they are perfect for bulk-storage of CD/DVD's. I would never use paper sleeves, as tiny bits of paper end up on the DVD media and are a pain to remove. Tyvek is durable and does not mark the plastic in any way. At $15 for 100, the price is competitive. I've seen them as low as $13, but if you go to Staples or Office max you'll find them in the mailer isle and they charge $45 for a box of 100! If you plan on long-term bulk storage, Tyvek sleeves are the way to go. I would not use paper sleeves.

These are now very hard to find. Tyvek does not disintegrate, tear, rub off, or stick to optical media. Although there is a plastic window, the back side is all Tyvek, where it needs to be. Cardboard or paper storage envelopes will produce dust that can damage the laser side of disks. Plastic can stick to the laser side. Almost anything else is not as durable.

If you want to store media for years, or if you use your disks heavily, this is your best choice. If not, the usual plastic or paper media will work fine. Store them in a storage box.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Mass Storage of Discs, January 30, 2010

With Tyvek disc sleeves, I'm able to cram more discs in the same physical space than with regular -- or slim -- jewel cases. I prefer Tyvek sleeves over paper because Tyvek won't wrinkle, scratch the discs or leave debris on the discs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tyvek CD/DVD Sleeves with Windows and Flap, February 17, 2012

These tyvek envelopes look very nice and the CD and DVD slide in and out very smoothly. I haven't tried to rip the tyvek envelope apart but it seems very strong and the outside flap seems to stay in place quite nicely. The window gives a good, clear view of the CD/DVD. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend the seller and Amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Light, thin and tough!!, June 4, 2011

These were exactly what I was looking for. Wanted something that would protect my boxed set of SG1 DVD's. The holders in the elaborate box are finished cardboard but very tight and would scratch the DVD when taking them in and out. I needed something very light and thin but tough so I could trim the corners off, cut off extra and still be able to wedge then into the tight holder. There are 54 disks in the set so the sleeves had to be very thin so I could still be able to fit all 54 of the DVD's back in the box. Well these sleeves are exactly what I needed. Imagine the little sleeves the Netflicks DVD's come in with a large viewing window and a flap over the top. Even after I cut them up to the bare minimum they still won't tear. Believe me cause I sacrificed one and tried. The plastic also has a soft flexible feel to it so it won't scratch the disk.
