Because words are my business, I thought this book would be a worthwhile addition to my library. Ironically, I suppose it's because words are my business that this definitely was NOT a worthwhile book. Out of the 100 words listed, I was unsure about only three. And I probably could have guessed by context how to use those, had it been necessary.

But that's not to say this is not a good book---for someone. Who might benefit from it? That's not for me to say. But I will say this: If you usually keep a dictionary handy and pop it open every time you read or hear a new word; if you're an avid reader who insists on understanding every word you read; if you seldom struggle to find the right words to express yourself, "100 Words to Make You Sound Great" might not be the book for you.

I think the book's author has provided a good resource, which is why I give it 2 stars instead of just one. It's just that this book could easily disappoint some of the very readers who might think they need it.

Book was in great condition -- NEW/LIKE NEW. I was very pleased with the speed of the shipping and the quality of the product.
