Dr. Plasker presents a compelling blueprint for a hundred year lifestyle. Whether or not you seriously have a shot at living to be a centenarian, his advice here on health, diet, fitness and emotional/spiritual well-being makes eminent sense. It is truly a holistic approach to lifestyle and longevity that has merit. Making the book more practical is the fact that it has a number of checklists and each chapter closes with a list of action items for the reader to take. The latter underscores the point that merely reading a book will not improve your lifestyle unless you follow through, act and execute upon it.

Since Dr Plasker himself is a chiropractor, there is a pitch for preventative chiropractic care. His plea here is not over-the-top or in-your-face, however, and is probably well founded.

The author's point is that many lifestyle changes can produce long-term positive results. In many cases, though perhaps not all, certain types of illness are products of lifestyle and tiny diet and fitness decisions made over the course of months and years. Making better fitness and health decisions every day can put extra years in your life and life in your years.

This book is phenomenal! I am on my third time reading it and now my wife and I are going through it chapter by chapter then talking about what we've read. Together we are building our ideal 100 year lifestyle for our family. The book is loaded with practical steps to improve our health, relationships, time, and more. Reading the 100 Year lifestyle has helped me recommitt to what is most important in my life and in the process I have started exercising, eating well, and making change with my best quality of life in mind. As a result I have lost 25 lbs. I feel and look better than I have in a long time! Wherever you are on the path to creating your best life this book will help you take it to the next level. I will recommeded this book to everyone I know!

This is the first book that takes the whole person into account. It not only gave me the tools to live a happier healthier life, it supplied me with the motivation to take action. Great book to share with the people you care about most.

I haven't put down the book since I purchased it! What a nice challenge for us all! The book is well written, easy to read, provactive and timely. When you get this book, you'll want to share it or the ideas that are presented in it to the oldest loved ones first! The excerpts in the book are memorable! Read through the book first looking for them - they will make you want to read the rest of the book without putting it down. Enjoy!

Excellent book that appeals to a wide audience. With people working too hard and not balancing their priorities, this book will fix that problem. Eric Plasker discusses the importance of work, play, diet, exercise, and managing crisis's appropriately. There are many exercises that one can use to see how one is adapting. Worth more than one read, The 100 Year Lifestyle stays in my library for the long haul.

Doctor Plasker's vision for us serves both myself, my family and my patients with a wake up call that even though we may not look forward to it, we could actually live well into ten decades! With my background in the emergency services, I was a Fire Captain and a paramedic, I saw first hand what goes down when people don't live life like they are going to make it to 100. Often on emergency calls to private homes we would have the family get a grocery bag to put all the drugs in because their dying family member was taking so many it was impossible to figure out which one might have contributed positively or negatively to the health crisis that prompted the 911 call. For these people it was mostly too late to change their health habits. Doctor Plasker lays it out step-by-step how you can change your health habits right now to avoid the pitfalls that plague so many in the older generation. Read the book and join us! This book gives a great take on how easy it is for us to miss the big picture by getting caught up in the business (busy-ness) we create for ourselves and forget or neglect what is really important. Following its lessons helps to get us focused and prepared to enjoy a long and wonderful life.
