This review is from: 100 Years of Erotica: A Photographic Portfolio of Mainstream American Culture from 1845 to 1945 (Paperback)
100 Years of Erotica is a blast from the past, an incredible experience for anyone interested in sex. It's outrageous, erotic, funny and sad. 100 Years is a trip through our erotic cultural history. Don't miss it!

Don't buy it for the articles..., February 2, 2001
This review is from: 100 Years of Erotica: A Photographic Portfolio of Mainstream American Culture from 1845 to 1945 (Paperback)
The pictures are interesting but I'm sure there are better. The text is boring, and uninformative. The book is poorly organized. And the title is misleading. The earliest dated pictures are from 1880 and the latest are 1940s. To many pages are taken up by striptease series. That aside. There are some hot and interesting shots and for the price it's no bargain, but not a rip-off either.

must see, May 30, 2000

This is a must for those who are serious about the historical aspects of the genre. We both enjoyed the pictures, especially the sequential sets.
