The box was about 1/4 Uncommon and 3/4 Common, with several of the commons having high duplicates.

I got A LOT of duplicates; not just 4 or 5 copies of some cards, I was getting upwards of 35 copies multiple times.

If you're looking to get a lot of cards to build up your deck building skills this is a great way to do it.

Sold by Pink Bunny Games.
Amazing value. Colors were definitely not even close to balanced, but I got 130 bonus cards, and many very useful ones. While none were of any $ value, I got strong cards to build one formidable deck of each color, all for $16.

Also, I got 2 Revised edition Prodigal Sorcerer, and a Chronicles Sivitri Scarzam, which were nice nostalgic finds.
Many cards of similar creature types, such as goblins, clerics, soldiers, zombies, birds, wizards, which are very useful for deck building.

Uncommon/common ratio about 1:10.

NOTE: Though the product says uncommon/common only, I got 4 rares too. None worth any money, but a very pleasant surprise!
2x Seedtime
1x Elvish Soultiller
1x Oblation

Multicolor: 23
Artifact: 73 (Lots more than expected, enough Myr cards to build a dedicated deck)
Non-Basic Land: 10
Basic Lands: 0

Black: 102, with one in Korean.
Blue: 108
Green: 388
Red: 128
White: 298

TOTAL: 1130

Awesome value, ordering another box ASAP.

After reading the reviews for several sellers offering similar 1000 card lots, I thought this one would be worth the chance because of the low cost and because of the seller's reputation. I was right. I got exactly what I expected and am completely satisfied. There were 1003 cards in my box with copyright dates from 1994 to 2006. I don't exactly know what "low duplication" is supposed to mean but I would have to guess that there were over 900 different kinds of cards in this set. The duplications I did have were mostly 4 to 6 copies with one exception of 12. There were 13 foreign language cards and a small amount of cards that would be classified as Excellent - Near Mint condition. There were no rares like the description said but there were 3 basic land cards, not that that's a big deal. Overall I would recommend this product if you are trying to get your hands on a large amount of cards to play with friends and you don't mind if they are not the most recent sets.

Firstly, I bought from TrollandToad.

The cards were fairly evenly split between colors, I got a bit more white and a bit less black, but I play white mostly anyway. Out of 1044 cards, I ended up getting around 240 uncommons, and about 800 commons, no rares (they said there were no rares, so I'm not complaining), and one creature token.
They gave me 1044 cards, and among the commons there were very low duplications, 6 to 8 for a handful, and about a third had 2 or 3 (The rest only had one of each, satisfied with that). As for the uncommons, I did get 35 of one card and 24 of another, but since they're uncommons, I could always just sell them as singles. The sets were very varied, I haven't counted but I'd say 20-25 sets, from M12 back to Revised (the ones without symbols could be older, I haven't checked yet).

It's hard to rate these lots accurately since they're so random, and I do think it depends on the seller. I have heard both good and bad things about Troll and Toad, and in my personal experience I would recommend them. This lot is good for a player who is just starting and wants to play casually (a lot of the cards are older, so no tournaments), or someone who is just looking to bulk up their collection, which is what I was looking to do. For 20 bucks, you get 20 bucks worth the cards, but don't expect to find that holy grail.

EDIT August 18, 2012: I recently bought a second package from these guys, and while it's not as good as the first, I'm still fairly happy with it. I'd say that 350-400 of the 1000+ cards were red, so there were MANY more red than the other colors, but I did get a fair amount of uncommons that I can sell as singles, and a good variety of cards from many of the older sets. This time I did get many M10 and M11 cards as well.

I got my package 1 day ahead of the Amazon Prime schedule and was pumped to pull apart this box!

I seperated everything out and noticed that it was a fairly even split of the main 5 colors. I think there were maybe 50 more white and green than red, black and blue. There was also a large amount of artifacts which shocked me. I haven't played MTG in some time but it appears artifacts are much more common now? Either way everything was a nice addition to my collection.

After I got all the colors seperated I counted how many multiples I had. Surprisingly I had only like 2-3 of a few cards. I'd say this made up maybe 3% of the total cards I got so I was more than satisfied with the few multiples I had. And lucky for me I had only 1 chinese (?) card in the box so I just turned that into a cat toy with a flick of my wrist.

This is something I for sure would order again to stock up on some commons and uncommons. Especially if I can snag some more of the nice artifacts I got in the box.

Alright, so I ordered a random box of 1,000 cards from Pink Bunny Games and I wanted to give folks another example of what you might get from them.

First off -- no land. Not one shred of land in this box.

I got 1,039 cards, 482 unique cards (Uniqueness is based on card name+art+set)
Color breakdown: 404 green, 183 red, 152 white, 152 blue, 52 black, 92 artifacts, 4 multicolor
Rarity breakdown: 893 commons, 121 uncommon, 25 rare (no foils)
Set breakdown: Cards from 73 different sets (Top 5: 80 from Innistrad, 72 Tempest, 70 Dark Ascension, 54 4th Edition, 51 5th Edition)

274 card were singletons, 206 were duplicated
Top 7 worst duplications: 24 Dream Cache (Tempest), 22 Spike Drone (Tempest), 19 Panther Warriors (Visions), 17 Juniper Order Druid (Ice Age), 16 Loyal Cathar (Dark Ascension), 16 Foresight (Alliances), 10 Tooth of Chiss-Goria (Mirrodin)

There you have it folks, judge for yourself.

UPDATE: Ordered two more boxes to see what the make-up would be: Cards from 69-70 sets. In one I got 69 Shocks (Onslaught), 49 Reconstruction (Revised), and 26 Skirk Prospector (Onslaught), but the second box had much better variety. It's a bit of a roulette spin, but if you want a lot of commons for beginning deck-building, there are definitely worse options out there.
